watching the game yesterday i noticed our players who were subbed
ignored everyone and went streight down the tunnel
would have been better for them to sit in the dug out and give encouragement to the team
with upto 12 players with a release clause if we go down i dont think those are arsed if we do
team spirit is dying a death at WAFC if not all ready dead22 January 2012 at 5:52 pm #79078Good point, Gomez went straight down the tunnel, didn’t see the others. You can tell there’s no team spirit, Hugo gobs off at everyone after a goal, McCarthy points at everyone, McArthur was in Caldwell’s face for 30 yards after their goal on Monday, Boyce’s wife having a pop, list goes on.

22 January 2012 at 5:56 pm #79081I would have read that as “Boyce’s wife”
22 January 2012 at 5:59 pm #79082Apologies, not got my specs on. She just mentions stuff on twitter about where are the players going to get their passion from. Stirring it a bit but if you’re Boyce and you’ve been here for 5 years and done very little wrong, you would be a bit miffed if Gohouri gets selected over you.

Boyce hasn’t been dropped. He has declared himself unavailable over recent weeks as he had a child in intensive care.
23 January 2012 at 12:33 am #79123Steady on. I’m talking about him not being used as a centre-half when he’s been sat on the bench. I’m fully aware of the recent goings on so wind your neck in.

I’m fully aware of the recent goings on so wind your neck in.If you are talking about the last couple of months when Boyce has been on the bench, it’s because he hasn’t been training for the reason I mentioned in my previous post. He has been on the bench when they have been down to their bare bones and he’s been the only defender available, and has been needed no matter how out of match practice he’s been. At no point I’m I aware of him ever being dropped for Gohouri.
So no, there will be no neck winding here.
23 January 2012 at 12:50 am #79127Trouble in camp – there most certainly is
There are many taking the piss and they are at it at the training ground – quote
‘it would have never happened when Steve Bruce was here, they know the gaffer is such a nice bloke, they walk all over him’
23 January 2012 at 1:07 am #79129Just to put a few things straight it was more of a hypothetical point that if I was a defender at the club I’d be a bit upset to have a player of Gohouri’s ability in front of me. In fact I’d be annoyed to be the most senior outfield player at the club to be overlooked for any of the defenders we have. Boyce started back training w/b 2nd December and Roberto spoke about giving him a few weeks to settle back into training before he was available for selection, backed up by Boyce’s insistence he was looking forward to playing football from 9th December with his public announcement on Twitter that his little lad was doing fine.
In fairness I’m talking about him being sat on the bench against Sunderland and now yesterday and other games where we have him playing right wing-back when Stam is a far better proposition, you don’t want Boyce overlapping to whip crosses in he just isn’t good at it. So maybe I was wrong to single out Gohouri, I should have said the entire central defensive unit but if you want to bring in other factors and make it more personal like I’m having some sort of veiled attack on Boyce then you’re welcome to it.

team spirit is dying a death at WAFC if not all ready deadbickymon we have excellent team spirit and the players are learning from every defeat, it’s only a matter of time before Bob turns things round
If your a footballer you know when things are working and I honestly believe the players have lost all faith in this clown.

Okay, put like that I can see your point.
