Is there one. Has something been arranged? Just thought those lot dont deserve or have earned a day off. Something should be arranged. Extra training or a 442 eleven v a 4 5 1 eleven reversing at half time.
8 March 2011 at 7:26 pm #61615Very much doubt it they will be training but having a week off could help us as Birmingham play twice before they play us
8 March 2011 at 8:43 pm #61623Their all in La Manga till Friday, even De Ridder and McManaman.
8 March 2011 at 9:46 pm #61634even De Ridder and McManaman

I seem to remember (know for a FACT!) that no such holiday treat was ever proposed, planned or happened.9 March 2011 at 4:18 pm #61683Birmingham’s two games will help keep them match fit while the rest could take the edge of our lot. I’m sure some kind of friendly could have been arranged easily enough.
9 March 2011 at 6:44 pm #61688I dont think they are going to be sat around or playing golf whilst in La Manga and chances are they will probably play some kind of behind closed doors game against a local team

I only hope that Graham Barrow has taken his air rifle to keep them on their toes and that they come back with a bit of fire in their bellies.10 March 2011 at 2:56 pm #61755The problem with staying over here is that they would have no game & wind up just coming in for training & all going their separate ways afterwards
By taking em off somewhere as a team to somewhere like this its an (expensive) attempt to keep the squad together, improve team spirit, work on conditioning & allow those carry knocks & niggles (like N’Zogbia) to have em worked on in the plush surroundings of nice warm sunny Spain in state of the art surroundings as opposed to wet, windy, & cold Christopher Park
There’s always the risk that it could make em a bit ring rusty whilst Brum will be match fit but on the other hand you’ve always got the risk that the Brum players with knocks & niggles could make em worse & they’ve already got a manager saying that many of his players are running on empty but he has no choice but to play em & fatigue and all that (r@p could be setting in10 March 2011 at 10:44 pm #61810Been told there is a friendly down at Christopher Park on Saturday at 2 don’t know who it is against though
