Great performance from the team. Win, lose or draw, who cares when that sort of effort is put in by the team? Not me.
Thinking about whether we have a chance of staying up and get a call from my son, upset because Fabrice Muamba has ‘died’ playing for Bolton against Spurs. One of his mates, a Bolton fan, had texted him. My blood runs cold and I put Sky/BBC News on.
Sure enough there’s shocking news but, thankfully, there’s no confirmation that anyone has died but there’s a very serious ongoing situation. Thoughts of whether we’re staying up or going down, the £32.50 I have to pick up for the £5 I put on the 11/2 favourite, a 1-1 result and scant consolation, are suspended whilst a sense of perspective kicks in.
