I imagine prices are standard compared to other clubs. It does seem high, but I think prices to most sporting occasions are the same nowadays.

Hopefully we make a few quid from the ‘Wigan reds’

It’s a friendly we didn’t charge that for Cup games.
Someone’s not thought it through. I bet it’s the same person who forgot to press the wages button twice then blamed the Queen for one

Seems fair to me , policing costs will have gone up given the increase in crowd disorder in and around grounds over the past year.
Blackpool travelled to Southport over the weekend and there was disturbances there serious enough to have the game paused for 10 minutes or so.
Admittedly it appeared to be schoolchildren acting up before being chased away but it’s becoming a common occurrence and that means policing bills will increase unfortunately at certain games
For fooks sake it’s almost six bloody quid to get a pint in a certain pub in Pem of all places at the minute I am reliably informed.
Rather the club charge the going rate and stay solvent and ensure safety for the decent supporters.

                        15 to watch Liverpool u23?

Normally U23 games cost a fiver to get in. Sorry, anybody paying 15 next Tuesday are off their head.

Off the field, Latics are seriously lacking promotional work. I dont think theres enough empathy and understanding of the locals. Maybe this was lost when staff were made redundant? I don’t know. There seems to be a big gap between the club and the support at the moment. Was no need for £15 for the friendlies. Have the owners misread Wiganers? Do they think mass hoardes will trundle down on the back of last season? No chance. A great portion of locals are living on the breadline due to rise in living costs. Should’ve been a tenner at most.

It’s one of many reasons I don’t do pre-season friendlies. I could understand the price if we were playing the first 11 or most of the first 11. But the price is steep for a game against a reserve side.

I’ll be waiting for the season to start. Only 3 weeks away now. Plus, I’m quite content getting my football fix at the women’s euros.

Two great local derby wins today.

The Liverpool first team squad flew out to Singapore yesterday for an Asian tour. Not sure who was left behind, but I’d suspect anyone who was will get a gig at the DW alongside the kids as long as they are not injured.

Thanks for going to the trouble Mutty. I still don’t get it ,
I certainly would not check Sunderlands opponents squad for any upcoming match, especially a friendly and then post it on a Sunderland forum. I really think you are a closet Latics fan who is in denial. You will feel much better if you ‘come out’ and join us on our fantastic journey.
