The Football Association will not give Millwall more tickets for next month’s FA Cup semi-final at Wembley even if Wigan return some of their allocation.
Both clubs have received 31,500 tickets for the game on April 13 and that number will not be increased due to segregation issues.
That is not true,
WAFC have been asked to start selling their tickets in blocks, starting from the Royal Box round to the opposite half way line, if Millwall sell their full allocation and we don’t, they will then be able to take up any that we don’t sell.
So anyone first in the queue on Sunday will get seats in which ever price band they choose closest to the royal box.
That information is direct from a ticket office employee.
Last year, Blackpool played West Ham in the Championship Playoff Final.
West Ham sold all their allocation and wanted more tickets. Blackpool didn’t sell their allocation but, because they had sold tickets from most blocks, Wembley/Football League couldn’t offer any more tickets to West Ham.
So Wembley wasn’t full for the final. But worse, several West Ham fans got hold of tickets in the Blackpool end. All went well until West Ham scored. Blackpool fans then took exception to the presence of West Ham fans and there were some very nasty scenes when when they attacked the West Ham fans who were trapped inside the individual blocks.
“Millwall took 44,156 fans to Wembley for the 2009 League One Play-Off Final against Scunthorpe, when they were given an extra allocation following the high demand. Football League Play-Off Finals have a different ticketing structure and the allocation for FA Cup semi-finals is not flexible.”
Despite what they say, Wembley – now acting with the FA – are acting to avoid the problems that arose between Blackpool and West Ham.

If this is true, why is the club advising fans wanting to sing to by tickets in the sections right behind the goals?

“Tickets for the South East corner of the Wigan Athletic allocation will not be on sale when the tickets initially are released. In line with Wembley guidelines, tickets must be sold in a certain order”.
