The time has come for all supporters to get behind Cook and PUSH him out of the door.
He has shown that his natural home is in Divisions One and Two. He has got us promoted and that was glorious, but we do not deserve to pay (or have paid for we Season Ticket holders) for the awful tactics
Cook employs.Does he know, appreciate the qualities of each player? A daft question but very apt when you consider his substitutions which have always defied logic.
I, for one, do not appreciate his constant shouting at officials. His waving of his arms. He is a disgrace and should be made to sit down and let the trainers stand in the box.
Time has come for supporters to say Thank you and Goodbye.

Totally agree on this point he should be focussing on the team not minor 50 50 calls making him burst a blood vessel
27 November 2019 at 1:28 pm #182362So we don’t want a manager who shouts at officials for making crap decisions (he shouts plenty at the players also) we don’t want a manager who just stands there (martinez was constantly slagged off for it) and we don’t want one who watches the game from the stands like John Benson did.
Interesting.
27 November 2019 at 2:22 pm #182363One thing Cook seems to have is his share of luck and no doubt he will pull a win from the hat on saturday to buy more time and silence the doubters again.
The performance by Latics last night was not the best but again they were met with an indifferent side who were taking us very lightly and 3 points should have been won in my opinion.
same old story.
The attitude of the players near the end was appalling as they seemed to be accepting a late goal would go in and had no intentions of pushing forward to grab a goal of our own.
massive faults in this current Latics team , arguably one of the worst of the past 20 seasons in my view.27 November 2019 at 7:47 pm #182366One thing Cook seems to have is his share of luck and no doubt he will pull a win from the hat on saturday to buy more time and silence the doubters again.

massive faults in this current Latics team , arguably one of the worst of the past 20 seasons in my view.Taking us lightly? Piss off. It really does stick in some people’s throat when it comes to giving us any credit. No denying we’ve been mainly crap for a while now, but credit where it’s due, we took on Millwall at their own game and came away from there with a point more than both Leeds and Preston managed and with bit of good fortune it could have been 3. It wasn’t stylish but we looked more effective than we have for a while.
As for the players attitude at the end, in case you hadn’t noticed (more likely conveniently ignored) after our substitutions and change of shape we had more chances than the home team. Garner had a decent chance, MacLeod shot straight at the keeper, Robinson shot wide and their defender cleared one off the line from directly under the bar.
And before the rose tinted/happy clapper “insult” gets dragged out, I have admitted above that we have been pretty crap a lot of the time this season. But I refuse to wear dark tinted specs just as I refuse to wear rose tinted ones. I make my judgement on what I see, not what I’ve already decided.
27 November 2019 at 7:58 pm #182367Revisited game and saw little to convince me that we can avoid the bottom 3. As I’ve stated before I think there is a much of a muchness in this league with only a couple of teams looking slightly better than the pack. Millwall were crap with the appointment of Rowett giving them new manager syndrome .Will be interesting to see how they fare now honeymoon period over. We really should have had 3 pts yet again like Derby,Bristol but Cook again opting for safety first. 1 point in games that we should have won doesn’t give encouragement for the tougher games coming up. Really, really have to stuff Reading Saturday, mo more excuses. Draw or lose then I fear unless he’s removed we will be like last season ticking each game off and treading water.
27 November 2019 at 8:03 pm #182368Ps….I believe that one of the keys to us improving is Windass. Cook must start him as he really is one of the few who can create something. Massey is really playing on zero confidence yet still gets pitch time and I myself still not convinced Lowe has been worth the chase and investment !!!

Tough to disagree

So which type of manager do the fans want Egg? I’m so confused. I’m going for a lie down.
28 November 2019 at 12:13 am #182372So OTTER you think we played well last night ??
We didn’t , I’m sorry you disagree but we didn’t!
Thank chuff they didn’t have an extra two mins injury time , because we would have been talking about a defeat now.
I thought we played far better at Bristol and Derby and as for our ineffective strikers , created some chances yes but means nothing unless you actually convert them.
How many did they take and have taken this season ?????
2 away wins since may 2018 is abysmal away form and I’m sorry I’m
As positive as the next man and in my 41st year watching Latics but the performances of late and for some time really are unacceptable
for a Wigan Athletic team in my opinion.
He talks about taking small steps well you cannot take small steps in this division anymore , we are nearly half way through the bloody season and heading for the bottom three on this form !!!
When does the reality kick in FFS ??28 November 2019 at 1:13 am #182374Currently in relegation zone if Barnsley don’t equalise
28 November 2019 at 1:42 am #182376Cook out!
28 November 2019 at 1:44 am #182377Well done Paul ……weve finally arrived!!
28 November 2019 at 1:55 am #182378We were in there earlier on in the season too.
28 November 2019 at 2:01 am #182380Consensus of opinion has always been…
“He is safe (Cook, in his job), as long as we don’t fall into the bottom three”.
Hmmmm….well then?
Bottom 3 is exactly where we deserve to be as well. Table doesnt lie.
