Hopefully everything goes through as planned and the new owners prove to be good ones, whatever the definition of good is in that context.
There has been a lot of emotion, abuse and disappointment over the last few months.
But when we understood the Gravity of the situation would you have settled for where we are; club secured, playing in league one without a deduction?
On the administrator, lots of abuse there, but have you listened to Stanley’s interviews on Jays podcasts? Do they make sense, do they seem believable in the context that we now have a buyer? They do to me.
Now what about the supporters club’s effort? Amazing amount of cash raised, if the buyers don’t want supporters involvement, what should happen to that cash? Returned to people, used for good causes? Will the wall get built?
We have lots still to think about!I would like to see some of that money go to the new phoenix Macclesfield Town AFC.Really gutted for their fans ,have a real affinity to what their going through.Also remember going there in the Northern Premier League.
We dont know what the deal between new owners and sc will be yet or if the money raised is part of that deal but I’m also gutted about Macc. A big part of our non league history and would love us to be able to help them out.
Once the sale is completed and finalised and sighs of relief are belted out then the fund if possible could be put to really good use if it is allowable.
One idea could be to buy the old Sharpeys chippy ( assuming it is being sold separately) and turn it into a suporters club facility , something we havent had since the SP days really bar token use of DW stadium bars.
The rest of the money could be put to good use turning it into a proper facility that would be able to hold community projects etc using the facilities and would also be a fitting tribute to the efforts of all the supporters and ex players who helped contribute.Once the sale is completed and finalised and sighs of relief are belted out then the fund if possible could be put to really good use if it is allowable.
