21 July 2010 at 3:07 am #40608I’m sure he’ll somehow turn it into an attempt to mock us, but fail miserably, as usual.
He’s better just keeping quiet about this one and pretending it just never happened :D

21 July 2010 at 4:39 am #40615A team who Martinez can rely on to play with pride, passion, commitment and no little skill as opposed to last seasons spectacle of players turning up when they so pleased.
21 July 2010 at 6:40 am #40616A team who Martinez can rely on to play with pride, passion, commitment and no little skill as opposed to last seasons spectacle of players turning up when they so pleased. Not sure how you can come out with a statement like that after the cack we watched last year when most of the poor players were Bob’s signings.
Also not sure the move is right for Titus he’s already as popular as clap at Sunderland, one mistake and he’s gonna get buried. He should remember his other North East experience and stay at a club were he is wanted.
21 July 2010 at 11:37 am #40617Titus has been good for Wigan but he was lacking last season. Not really a leader either. I think with the goals against last season we had to change the back four (although its the defensive midfield we need to work on).
I suspect it will be down to his £50k week wages…
21 July 2010 at 12:07 pm #40619Bramble was solid enough last season and seemed to have cut out most of his lapses of concentration.
However, he was never really comfortable with the ball at his feet and I think that is more the type of centre back that Roberto is after.
Provided we replace him (and he may not have been in Roberto’s first choice pairing for this season anyway) then £5m is an absolute steal in my book.
Shame though, I liked him. He kept me on my toes :)
21 July 2010 at 12:15 pm #40623I can only assume that this sale is because of Bobby’s fixation with all his team being able to play their way out from the back as that is something that I don’t think Bramble looked comfortable with last season & this his attempt to get a squad capable of playing “his way”.
Unfortunately defensive capablities seem to come second in Bobby’s pre-requisites for defenders!!!!You also have to have some faith in Bobby’s comments last week that the supporters need to be aware that if somebody is sold it is because the club has a replacement already lined up and this may have been one of/the deal he was talking about.
Unfortunately I have about as much faith in Bobby as I do in Cameron & Clegg21 July 2010 at 12:23 pm #40625Bramble’s inability to play the 50-yard diagonal ball appears to have been his undoing. That and the fact he was very clumsy when caught out in possession.
I would imagine he wasn’t going to be first choice and there’s no point having a big earner as a bench warmer.
I don’t think we’ll be anywhere near as bad defensively this season (we couldn’t get much worse!). Alcaraz looks just as good in the air as Bramble and what with him and OAP-legs Melchiot having departed we might see a more dynamic back four.
I think the signs are very positive when you look at all the young talent we have – Diame, McCarthy, Moses, McArthur on the way, Boselli, Rodders and N’Zog (at least probably until Jan) we could be the surprise package this year. ;)
21 July 2010 at 12:33 pm #40626Anyone with a seat in row Z of either the East or West stand wont have to worry about a football hitting them on the head anymore ! Clumsy, indecisive on the ball and no pace. If we are to be in a period of transition and looking forward then there is no place for him here. Thanks for your efforts etc but you just didnt cut it at the end of the day Titus ! I would rate him at around 1.5 mill and no more ! 8-)
21 July 2010 at 1:17 pm #40631£750.000 now on sky sport
21 July 2010 at 1:20 pm #40632a player with all this prem games under is belt SHOULD NOT BE SOLD for this amount sorry bob on this you def mad
21 July 2010 at 1:31 pm #40634I can only assume that this sale is because of Bobby’s fixation with all his team being able to play their way out from the back as that is something that I don’t think Bramble looked comfortable with last season & this his attempt to get a squad capable of playing “his way”.

Unfortunately I have about as much faith in Bobby as I do in Cameron & CleggPersonally I could do without Brambles 450 yard cross field passes into the stand !
