London that is. Just like Latics losing a match and Labour losing the election, Lib Dems winning South Lakes etc etc etc your pro Europe are really cute but please wake up YOU LOST!!
Please have some respect for the millions of ordinary Northern working class people who are sick to death of being dictated to by the champagne socialists living in their privileged London society. Wake up the Northern working class people are sick of politicians in general and false promises and voted enough is enough to another level of bureaucrats and being dictated to. Please respect our democracy London.

I’ve given up posting on here in the main, and will probably drift away completely now.

But before I go – do you really think this was a game of village cricket? Do you really think this was something where we say “oh well, well played, chaps”, and go off quietly?

This is a monumentally stupid decision that has been delivered by lies, untruths and outright deception. Have you noticed all these immigrants packing their bags? Are you now suddenly able to get an appointment at your doctors? Are the roads empty? Are employers now hiring only British people?

A General Election is a vote that has a final result. At the end of it one side loses.

But do the losers then sit back and say “oh, I’ll let this go now”? No. They fight on. They tell everyone in the world that wants to listen that the decision was wrong, that they were no part of it, and as soon as possible they want to change it. Whichever side wins.

Don’t talk absolute crap. This was a monumentally stupid decision that everyone involved in the “winning” team didn’t expect or plan for. Try to understand this – THEY didn’t want it. It’s not about champagne socialists, it was about Johnson and Gove leading a campaign against Cameron, that they never expected to win, but that was designed to push out Cameron leaving the space clear for Johnson with high ranking positions in Government for Gove. It was meant to show that they understood popular concerns, but without actually having to do anything about them.

It’s now gone pear-shaped for them. Because they’ve won, and have not got a single clue of where to go now. Whoever takes over as PM has to decide whether to ignore the referendum vote, which will lead to all sorts of problems internally, or to enact Article 50, and be down in history as the person who really put us in the crap. We are not going to get lots of great trade deals now. The EU will make an example of us. Thay are going to play hard ball. They don’t need us, whatever the Daily Mail might say. The US wants to deal with Europe in a one-off negotiation. Special relationship? Don’t make me laugh.

You have been conned. But you will never, ever, accept that.

I take it you didn’t think much about the democratic wishes of the people in the referendum Garswood.
I wasn’t conned by anyone. I see daily the money wasted by district councils, county councils, metropolitan councils, whitehall and we need to lose one tier of government and the European tier is my choice.

If anything it was the remainers who were trying to con the electorate with all their scaremongery, lies and relentless doom and gloom.
I was on the fence for a long while and in the end it was David Cameron and co that convinced me to vote leave.

We’ve left now and we are moving on and in the long run it can do nothing but good for this country to be rid of another unnecessary level of beaurocratic bollox.

Trying to reverse the decision is wrong Horc, but don’t insinuate that the only lies & scaremongering were coming from one side. Hell, even Gove had now reduced his Euro350m pw for the NHS down to only Euro100m.

            Aresholes, the lot of ’em.

I totally agree Moonay they’re all a bunch of wankers. I was just pointing out to the post from Garswood who was insinuating it was lies just from the leave campaign, when there was just as much rubbish coming from the mouths of the others.

You are absolutely correct Donny; for the last five years I have worked close to Government institutions and have reached similar conclusions.

100 % correct Garswood Latic. At least there`s someone one here who can see the real reason behind this charade.
Boris Johnson ,Gove ,Farage and Duncan Smith have stirred the shyte and now you wont see them for dust. It will be left to someone else to pick up the pieces and sort this whole mess out.

The Brexiters claim ” You`ve lost, get over it .”
I think you`ll find we have all lost

I,m confused with all this “wanted to get rid of Cameron”. Firstly Cameron knowing he would probably not have had a majority in the election used the referendum to swing some voters. Secondly it was the good people of Britain who voted to leave not Johnson or Gove etc. Thirdly Cameron was proved to be the biggest liar of the lot and to say that leaving could lead to war was reckless, stupid and the ultimate scaremongering tactic. Cameron was arrogant and ignorant in using the referendum for his own gains and it has done for him in the end. It is because of him we are where we are at now.

It is because of Cameron we are now free from the Federal State of Europe. For whatever his personal motivation was about the referendum it gave everyone a say in where we should be.

Whats the point of moaning about Brexit, it was a fair referendum with both sides of the in and out being represented by all the political parties. I don’t see any political strategy behind it, Cameron had made a promise and fair play to him he stuck to it.
Whether we like it or not, its been done and it seems that many of the stay brigade can’t wait to say I told you so. I think its tad disrespectful to voters insinuating they didn’t know what they where voting for. If you haven’t a clue what impact leaving the EU will have long term, but just voted leave because you are not happy with the way the country is being run at the moment, then good on yer. I listened to every debate, researched the internet, looked at what the business people had to say and was still undecided which way to vote whilst walking to the polling booths.

The way I see it is that the government now have to do what they are paid to do and not sit around letting the EU do it for um.

There is a big world out there with money to spend on commodities, lets do a good marketing campaign and nose ourselves into that market.

Lets revisit our immigration laws and put policies in place that will allow us to manage it so as to best suit our little island. There is plenty of good talent over the seas that can make a positive contribution to our economy, we must still harvest this talent. However we can’t just play the numbers game like the EU dictate, its totally bolluxed us up.

I’m not sure why, but it seems that other countries think we are big boys now who can look after ourselves, the peoples vote to leave the EU has sent out a chilling message, not just to the EU and its member countries, but to all corners of the world.
From what I’m hearing, it wont be long before other EU countries follow suit, perhaps this will have a bearing on how well we do from this massive, massive democratic decision.

I for one will not be expecting major changes for quite some time yet, its going to be one long hard slug, some things may improve others may go tits up, but one thing is for sure, I don’t want to hear the words “I told you so” until the powers that be have rolled their sleeves up and had a go.

                      What a journey!
