To the 5000 or so of our lodgers fans who could actually be arsed to go to New Springfield for the quarter final and all the way to Leigh for the semi final of The Mickey Mouse Challenge Thingy I would like to wish you a cracking day out in London.
As for this one town thing and how great it would be for our two sides to come back with the two cups I say what bilge. The two competitions are not in comparison. Never have been and never will be. For the 5000 it will be great but please nothing can compare with what Latics did in May unless Latics do that again next May.
After 50 years or supporting Latics I suppose the arrogance and ignorance of many associated with the Parasites has just filled me with annoyance and anger. Even talking to Utd fans from Manchester on the way to Wembley annoyed us because even from just 30 miles away the United lads still had this false impression about what Latics were compared to the Cuckoos. Hype built up and re-inforced by the lazy mass media.
So tomorrow Come on Hull Dockers or Grimsby or Beverley or whoever the lodgers play.
To the 5000 have a grand day.What killed me on rugby semi’s day was , how many were in the pubs in Wigan town centre watching the game on TV with the rugby shirts on !, embarrassing.
