Well that was one of the most gutless, tactically inept and embarrassing performances I’ve seen in a long time.
Thankfully, over on the other screen the mighty Tics were winning another game. Not the best and we rode our luck, but a win and a clean sheet will do nicely. VAMOS!!!

I am no fan of Wigan Warriors or Rugby League for that matter but some comments on here and other forums shows a real lack of class from Wigan Athletic fans.Let’s not stoop to such levels ,we are better than that.

Spot on bullitt. The vile pieces of shit have loved our demise and instead of both clubs coming together and cementing the future of both which was do-able all they wanted was the stadium. They would have danced on our grave and thoroughly revelled in it so fuck em.

Bit like the sour grapes you have against Dave Whelan? You know, the guy who made sure Wigan rugby survived and continued to play in Wigan rather than be either a) homeless or b) playing in Bolton.
A post over on RLFANS said it would have been fun to buy Latics just to liquidate them. Did you vilify him/her for that post or everyone else who has said they hope the club goes bust?

The rugby club cannot afford the stadium without Latics (and vice versa) so they would have had to have found some way to retain the football club. IL obviously wanted to protect his interests as all business owners would do, but it would cost him quite a bit of money if the football club went pop.
You might be right Bullitt but it’s how we are perceived by other clubs.We all know how it is in Wigan with the biased press etc but to anyone looking in from the outside it comes across as petty jealousy.As I say we are better than that ,let’s just enjoy the victory ,hope the takeover goes smoothly and then as we move back up the leagues we can bask in the glory and there’s nothing our Rugby neighbours or the press can do about it.
But what about Danson he is supposed to be minted and the stadium was going for loose change. Leneghan ,Danson and co could afford the ground many times over. True it was always going to be ideal if both owned it and maintained it jointly but the rugby lot knew that the Americans would have bought the Latics had the ground been sold. They were holding on to get the DW once we had been liquidated. Luckily and hopefully we now have a buyer and we get to keep the stadium. That lot had more than a chance to buy it and help save the Latics they chose not to so it’s back to hating each other once again. We have to face it there will never be a truce between the two now. I wish I was like you egg and could support both being a Wiganner but that lot have always made it impossible and easy to hate.

Jealousy? What have Latics fans to be jealous of? I agree it is difficult for other football fans to understand why we hold so much animosity towards them but that is because of their ignorance of the history behind it. An explanation on the reasons why should always be presented when the question is asked.
I agree with you Sammy but when you look on other clubs forums and they are discussing Wigan it always seems to be why do the Latics fans hate the rugby so much ? We know it’s the other way around but with threads like this one and on other forums it only goes to justify their misguided opinion that we are the ones with a chip on our shoulder.
