Im not happy with that, the 1st half was just about ok, city were there for the taking, then whoops comedy goal again.
The 2nd half never got going for us, de yong ran the show from start to finish, 3 central midfielders and not 1 got antwhere near him, and when will we ever be direct, Macarthy get played in,hes in there box, does he let it run across him opening up for a shot or does he revert to type and stop the ball looking for a backwards or sideways pass, yep, as with the rest of every game ive seen so far the latter……..except this time not even a pass, hes tackled again.
and why wait until the 86 minute to make subs, clueless.rant over, not even had a beer after the game, well pissed off with our team.
19 September 2010 at 8:48 pm #46758Agree with the above we were pants
Defence – pants
No desire no fight – why are we not in their faces from the off – pants
Any muppet could see we should have played 2 up front, the old lob over the top, get their centre backs turning in the conditions, they were slipping all over the place in first half – clueless
pass back, pass sideways – pants
19 September 2010 at 8:52 pm #46759we have become very boring to watch, its about time someone took over the realm with some fight in his belly and who wants his team to go forward and win games
19 September 2010 at 8:58 pm #46761He’s got 3 games to save himself; if we lose to Preston, we’d better beat Birmingham & Wolves.
Get supporting the team on Wednesday night, if we lose – sod them :D

West Brom19 September 2010 at 9:14 pm #46766We need some backbone back in the team, the spanish one seems good at taking it out, whats it all about one step forward three steps back,no pace,no passion,no clues, our keeper did a great save nobody came and give him the nod good save, sumat not right with our club, its giving fans a easy excuse to stay away, time the owd tusk sorted it out,and i will be ther against nobend.

4 home games so far, no wins 1 goal against 10 men
i may panic a little, especially as both wolves and birmingham beat us at home last year,
19 September 2010 at 9:17 pm #46768We keep going on that we need “passion”. Seems a very English thing to me, maybe something Martinez doesnt quite understand.
That said, i’m not sure from an English sense, that we’d describe the Spanish or Brazilian national teams as showing a lot of “passion” and it’s done them no harm over the last decade.

Sod last year. It’s in the past……….. :D
But yeah, last season is last season.
Might as well say, well we stayed up last season, we will this if we’re going off your analogy . ;)
19 September 2010 at 10:59 pm #46780Why did it take us 5 minutes to get Moses on, when he was stripped and ready to come on?
It gave the impression that we didn’t know what we were doing – we didn’t have a plan – we were dithering.
And I know they’re only trivia but sending e-mails to those who’ve renewed tickets, and announcer saying our next game is against Wolves (not PNE) gives an overall impression (to us as loyal supporters as to anyone) that we as a club just aren’t in control and have no idea what’s going on.
And that annoys and frustrates me immensely.
Come on Latics – sort it out on field and off, and give us back a club to be proud of. I’m really not that bothered if we go down – if we go down with honour, having shown some fight. This is just abysmal surrender.
20 September 2010 at 2:12 am #46834Yeah but we beat Arsenal 3-2 !!!! ..Arsenal lapse
Yeah but what about Liverpool we beat them ..S h i t Liverpool side hence finishing position on league !

Two ridiculous defensive slips. If it wasn’t for those, bizarrely, we would probably have got a point.
