Today’s anticyclone will be centred over the Brick Stadium (sludge rats squatting hole), and the fog will persist and players in blue will not be able to pass the half way line in case they get lost. So for safety’s sake expect a lot of sideways and backwards movement and passing. The gloom is not expected to lift any time soon and will lead to a long hard winter.
Seriously though; can’t see us scoring today, with Wycombe nicking it one nil (but they are a hard working well drilled side and SM will have briefed a level of fear into his squad).
God,I’m really struggling to predict score even harder to pick his team. Ok I’ll put my negativity under the rug for now and go 2-0 home win……certainly wouldn’t put dosh on it.
Blown 1st half with his strikerless set up(well if you think Taylor a striker). No good playing well 30 mins ,stink the place out for 60. He hasn’t a F%%%%%% clue which 11 to start and it shows. His statement yesterday about no need for a forward as he has Taylor,Aasgaard,Cze….was the final straw for me….and today’s 1st 60 mins consolidated that view. Great goalkeeper today for Wycombe but to say they top of league really shows how poor the standard is….and what it says about us…..we are a relegation candidate on recent performances and anyone who actually believes any different is in total denial.
Still too many bellends on social media sticking up for Maloney…what will it take?
We are the most apathetic fan base going. We really are. Just put up with too much shite…”be grateful we have a club..”. Oh p#££ off!
Them lot over the hill have to be close to releiving Evatt of his duties. And you know what? They’ll probably move for Mark Robins now he’s available. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit.
Whilst we’ll still be stuck with Mr Touchy-Face. Even he knows he’s shite. And look at the attendances? Dropping more and more. If nothing is done, we will go down and be pulling in 4k crowds next season, giving Danson the perfect excuse to ship us out to Leigh Sports Village. Maybe that’s the plan all along?
We are now over a 1/4 of the season in and Maloney hasn’t a clue what his starting 11 is, he never gets it right.
Then after a drab first half he realises his brain storm idea to start the match with no forward isn’t working.
Does he do it to make people think “I’ve got this” if it works ?. Honestly I’m left stumped again, not totally by the performance but more about getting it right from the start.
Then I heard someone say “We deserved a point there, their keeper got them all 3”
Let me point out the 3 points blank saves Tickle made to keep us within reach of Wycombe.
I’ve never seen a manager fook around with a side like he does, Christ I end up confused to who’s who who’s were why ?. I mean Scott Smith and Aasgaard up top ?
We are now 14 games in a 1/4 of the season and Maloney’s clueless who to start. We are 2 points and 2 places to the drop zone.
I think there’s a side there for sure that’s good enough to stay up but it’s a managers job to glue it together. Maloney has consistently proved this season he’s incapable of doing the job.
To be in games and struggle to score is becoming abit repetitive. Every week it’s becoming clearer, if we stick with Maloney one of two things will happen, we’ll either get relegated or we’ll go down
You look at the way he selects his side and you think why?, why the wholesale changes week in, week out ?, most are not injury forced.
Are the players incapable of a Sat/Tues/Sat for at least one week.
I can only think he selects his side based on the oppositions set up that would be the only reason why players are in out in out. For me Carragher was doing really well, gaining valuable minutes while retaining fitness levels. The manager praises him and straight after drops him.
But Saturday was about his worse team selection all season, to let a forward go out on loan when one of your 3 forwards is struggling with an injury then drop your remaining forward and play with none ?, wtf was he thinking?.
It honestly doesn’t make sense, I can only think he’s protecting the young lads from injury or he doesn’t think their fit I don’t know, I’m lost.
But saying that, he constantly changes formations asking players to play different roles and this is the bit I don’t get like Wycombe.
How the fookin hell can Maloney try to get the players to buy into his ways when he hasn’t a clue what the fook they are himself.
This chopping and changing formations and players is over thought, overkill and unsettling to the players. There’s no patterns or partnerships been built it’s a clear cut and dry case of a manager who’s lost.
Now you can blame Danson you can blame money restrictions you can blame your Nan but at the end of the day 14 games into this season he is an absolute country mile off building any kind of side.
I can tell you this, come the 3rd of May he’ll still be lottery guessing at 2pm as to who’s starting and were. I bet all 28-29 players are all stood there full kit been picked like you did as a kid in the park.
I’d go as far as saying team selection and formation is shambolic utter guesswork with no method no structure no vision just a mish mash 2pm lucky dip starting 11 based on the oppositions set up.
If he can’t figure out roughly 20 games League + Cup into the season as to a style and best 11 he never will and down we’ll go.
Danson’s a very clever business man and no doubt he can see this one ain’t working but is he just too tight to rectify it ?.
So what is the solution ?, for us to survive in L1 he needs a new approach and admit to himself his approach based on the players he has at hand is not working. If Maloney thinks he can turn it around using current methods and styles he’s wrong. I’d love to know what Glen Whelan thinks of it all, I bet he’s secretly scratching his head wondering and pondering.
And why we brought a defender in when we’ve have a 5-6 already here is just mind boggling I’m speechless and he won’t be on £500 a week that’s for sure

A growing number of our fans now share these same opinions. Trouble is, Maloney is too stubborn to consider our views, opinions or observations; when collectively we’ve witnessed enough football to know the difference between good or bad. His ego tells him that he is the expert and he doesn’t need to listen to the paying customers.
It’s absolutely painful at the moment, seeing our club dying on it’s feet !
Plus, I don’t trust Danson.
He’s not exactly leading from the front.
Yo Ali, how the devil are you marrer?. Ain’t see you in donkeys I can’t get to games at present needing 2 new knees so I can’t climb steps lol. I really thought we had lost our club last year mate don’t ever want to see that happen again that’s why I’m willing to give MD the chance to get us back on firm footings before we try to kick on. Obviously Maloney has to go before we can realistically start to climb the table and get back to challenging the top half of the table.
Thing is Maloneys contract only expires at the end of the 2025/26 season, can you really see Danson sacking him and paying up his contract?
We may have to sell another player to pay up his contract which will weaken the team even more, otherwise we are stuck with this clown for another 18 months, the club is going backwards at an alarming rate with Danson in charge.
Hello there Ste; hope them new knees are settling in and you’ll be back on the terraces soon
It wouldn’t be so bad if we were playing more attractive / winning football; but that is definitely down to Maloney. That’s where my patience is running thin, and the only person with the power to make the needed change is Danson. So that’s why I’m losing confidence, rapidly, in Danson. If he watched the games he could see that our squad is slightly above average for this division, and with a more positive style of football we could be chasing a play off spot. He must realise that we need to stay in this division, because relegation would set us back years. His lack of personal involvement is concerning and is not a good sign. He could be a Sludge Rat in Sheep’s clothing

We will no doubt sell Tickle in the summer that’s a forgone conclusion and Aasgaard has interest from Stoke I heard so he might even go in the January window. This money has to be used to strengthen but by the time we sell these two who’s to say were we’ll be, L1 or a doorstep away from were we started in L2 and non league looming.
At least in non league you will get some very good days out

On the flip side would you trust Maloney with any money for players, the one’s he’s brought in are duffers, plus the fact it won’t matter who we get we’ll still get the same shite so called football.
The club needs a factory reset starting with Maloneys departure give the new manager the money for players in January, has Danson got the balls and does he care enough?
