The problem is, bar 4-5 players I’d be confident in saying most of our players would not be Maloney’s first choice picks if he was given a better budget.

He’s basically been told how much to spend and he shopped accordingly to fit within this minimal budget. Would I trust him with money ? yes, but I certainly wouldn’t trust how he’d use the players tactically.

I think it’s the cost of replacing him and any backroom staff that’s the big issue, remember Toure and his gang ?,his removal was the straw that broke the camels back, it’s the devil and the deep blue sea with us.

If Maloney was given funds I don’t think he would choose the wrong player to bring in I just think it’s the system he’d put them in thats all wrong it’s awful.

Listen, I want Maloney to do well and gain success but I have my doubts that things would change with have a dozen better/experienced players, anyway, it’s going over old ground all the time. We are were we are with the squad we have and he has to adapt and make it happen or I’m certain we will end up in L2 then we’ll struggle.

The one glaring huge problem we have is the lack of fire power up front, we have none. I just cannot see were the goals are currently going to come from.
The only thing I can say is, I did like Cze’s energy and drive all be it against an u21’s side but at least it was a positive rather than a negative but there’s more chance of me starting than him.
I’ve said it before we’re walking this fine tightrope of balancing the books and relegation. We could spend and still go down then have half decent players on 2-3 deals in L2 is a difficult conundrum to solve one every lower league club in the country are facing.

Finally, can someone please tell me how Oldham were able to sign Stones on loan outside the transfer window?, is it because their non league ?

Danson bought us with a huge monthly wage bill and he funded it till the summer so I fully understand his predicament and thank him for bailing the club out at the last minute.

We decimated the squad, all the experienced players left and replaced with a squad with little experience av age 23.

It’s ok saying we have aim at been self sufficient I agree with that statement but we have to stay in L1 to do so otherwise every loanee club will be very reluctant letting decent young lads come to an L2 club when there’s plenty of L1 clubs out there who will happily be willing to take them instead of us.

It’s down to Maloney to keep us in the league and the players need to buckle up, roll their sleeves and socks up and work their bolloks off.

I’m praying Danson can see what we are witnessing and he at least backs him in the Jan window to bring in at least 2 half decent experienced players, if not I fear for us
