Wasnt there today due to work. Sounds like we really played well according to WISH. Just one sucker punch (yet again).
Good to see both grigg & ALF getting on & hopefully joyce now realises he now needs to play his strikers & play wildschutt where he belongs3 December 2016 at 10:20 pm #152828Should have got something but alas didn’t. The Yanic/Thierry Henry experiment bore no fruit.Glad to see forwards on 2nd half and had enough ball to have grabbed result but damage done 1st half,Derby happy to ride it out.We will have to muddle on and see what happens.
3 December 2016 at 10:25 pm #152829Trying to be positive but in my opinion unless Mr Sharpe can hire Indiana Jones to track down his grandads long lost war chest then I think we are looking long odds on to drop down again.
3 December 2016 at 10:31 pm #152830First half, Caldwellesque, no movement, players out of position and dis-jointed and at a slow tempo.
Second half the tempo increased and it could easily have been won.
Derby were very average and we probably have them too much respect.
Will Grigg looked fit as a fiddle.
Week spots were Jordi and Power. Jacobs had a much better second half than first. Yanic looked better in position in the second half but a little greedy when he should have passed rather than shoot.
Statistics show the dominance and the dominance wasn’t just about possession we had more shots too. Just a shame because this was three points dropped but in second half many good signs.3 December 2016 at 10:34 pm #152831Unlucky to come away with nothing, but we were lucky to win on Monday (penalties etc) so it evens out.
Far better with Grigg on instead of Yanic trying to play as a striker.
Hopefully the penny’s dropped with Yootha.
3 December 2016 at 10:42 pm #152832Week spots were Jordi and Power.According to tommy gore on WISH, power had a cracking game.

Its funny how people see things because I thought Max was woeful, that said, he did have our two best efforts.
As for Grigg being un fit, what bollox, he kept up with Yanic when he was sprinting and we looked like a different team in the 2nd half especially after he came on.
Can’t wait to have a fit right back as although Garbutt looks a dacent player. he is too predominantly left footed for that position.
Good second half today and I think we deserved to get something out of the game, but alas another single goal defeat.3 December 2016 at 11:23 pm #152835Week spots were Jordi and Power.

Max did have a good game until he was moved to right wing when Grigg came on, then he went to pot.
Fuck the EFL
4 December 2016 at 2:23 am #152837I am sorry but there was never any point during the march when Max power could be described as ‘having a cracking game’
4 December 2016 at 2:23 am #152838If you were a neutral I think you’d have been happy to have left having seen a good game.
Jassi got an award for MoM for defying all medical knowledge and increasing his 6’3″ length to 7’8″ to stop that near certain goal following on from that minor lapse of concentration when someone passed directly to their striker. Not a good move.
I do think that wood work should be got rid of, goals should be ‘virtual’, that header from Power was a stunner and morally should have gone in.
Power had a good game, Perkins then took the MoM arm band. He’s like a snapping terrier, never gives up and when he loses the ball – he screams back faster than a well tuned porsche to get that ball back, even if he does feign a rugby tackle.
It was hard luck that we got nothing in the second half, but at least our players didn’t start fighting amongst themselves – as at Preston. Jordi was sublime whilst he was on.
4 December 2016 at 4:58 am #152839Power had is best game for us this season, Grigg looked brill when he came on. The comment about him looking fit when he came on is ludicrous seeing that he only played 15 mins or so.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!4 December 2016 at 6:27 am #152840Power had is best game for us this season, Grigg looked brill when he came on. The comment about him looking fit when he came on is ludicrous seeing that he only played 15 mins or so.Don’t get that pal, you say Grigg looked brill when he came on then say it’s ludicrous when someone said he looked fit, Grigg played over half an hour BTW!
Fuck the EFL
4 December 2016 at 12:17 pm #152841Grigg came on after 54 minutes. He played some really nice touches as well. No fitness problems there it appears. Did feel sorry for Jordi though cos he was playing well.
2nd half was as well as I’ve seen us play recently if we carry on like that we’ll be OK.
#optimistic
4 December 2016 at 1:38 pm #152842My View of the game:
Yanick Ineffective until moved out left
Garbutt Ineffective at right back, looked completely lost and no interest
Perkins All over the place in their faces and did a great Phil Jones impression
Morgan Every time he gets the ball and has time I hold my breath
Gomez – Ineffective – what position was he actually playing ?
Power – Don’t see the point of playing him, Perkins and McDonald at the same time .
Tempo – far too slowOther than that, a lot of huff and puff but no end effort, maybe we had 2 or 3 shots at the most, which for a home game is pretty poor
Couldn’t see any real game plan other than to just huff and puff
Glad to get home
4 December 2016 at 4:05 pm #152843If Joyce thinks he isn’t fit enough he isn’t fit enough so he played for half an hour that doesn’t tell you he’s fit for 90 mins does it.
If all he adds is stamina and worth ethic we’ll have a far better chance in this league, as we haven’t had that since Steve Bruce was in charge.
Thought second half was decent and enjoyed the game.
