Would have hoped for a win but a point and ending the run will do. Well done lads. Three matches unbeaten.Worst Bolton team for years, for me its 2 points dropped and away form now really is a concern. Had chances to blow em away and won’t play many shitter sides. Afraid we didn’t replicate the urgency we showed against Rovers…..If your happy with the point then so be it,….but where is next away win coming from ?…
Crap defending for their goal and Walton beaten at his near post. Second half I thought we outpassed and outclassed them but for want of a final ball !!
Windass blew a great crossing chance in the first half having got in a great position…..and then Nathan Byrne did exactly the same thing about three times in the second half, on each occasion they
got themselves clear, on their ‘right foot’ just few yards outside the box with time to measure it and…..Every bloody time they absolutely pasted the Fkn thing in to touch on the far side.Windass also blew a great chance having sent his marker the wrong way he tamely poked the ball wide of the post with the outside of his foot from about 7 or 8 yards
McManaman had a chance but couldn’t settle himself to get the shot away.Bolton are garbage….2 points dropped ……but at least an end to our lengthening chain of away defeats

Not sure when we last won at the Horwich Wanderers Stadium; I think Lee McCulloch scored the winner ! So it was nice to trudge home with a point in the bag at least. Could have won though and never looked in any danger; even with the multitude of corners that Wanky won. Funny how the Latics faithfull mistook the Wanky substitution for Janic Wildschutt :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Walton should never get done on the near post from such a tight angle.
So why doesn’t he start with Vaughan Windass and the same shape that was so affective against a far better side in Blackburn ?.
Grigg does not suit Cooks style of play. He will always struggle in open play to score at Wigan while Cooks here. He needs ball to foot in the box not starting from the half way line.I’m sorry to say but Cooks out his depth. If we intend to stay in this division we need to be consistent but with this current manager it’s not possible.
Were lucky to put to halfs together nevermind 2 games. He was pee’d off with Moses and not purely coz the winner was scored by someone else – the game before we’d played Everton & had been a goal up when Moses broke free. He got to the penalty are and was cut off by a couple of defenders but he had Rodallega & Crusat completely unmarked on his left hand side. He looked up, saw them & elected to go for glory which wound up with him messing it up. Everton went up the other end & equalised.
I’m assuming he got read the riot act after that game by his team mates & manager but in the very next game (the Bolton one) he did exactly the same thing & only Bogdan making a hash of the save ( no surprise there) allowed the ball to bounce out to MacArthur to score.
