Doesn’t matter what we think it’s down to the sports science technology and Cooky and his team but just saw a post on Latics Speyk and it mentions a possibility to replace Evans and that’s Shaun McDonald.
I had totally forgotten about him but he could be an option to play alongside Morsy.
Back four speak for themselves, unless playing in midweek deems any of them a tad tired.
Up top, well Vaughan is a waste of time without a partner and as we know two up top doesn’t work.(Millwall struggled to beat our five man midfield on Tuesday despite using this dated tactic) So it’s got to be Garner(if technology allows). Now Windass must play behind him. So who goes to the left and right of Windass. Under no circumstances can it be Connolly as he should be back at Everton by now surely, so we have a choice of Roberts(if recovered from his one match this season) or McManaman. Now if this fella isn’t fit by now he should be sacked. On the other side surely not Naismith again so if Byrne has recovered from his one game this season it’s got to be him.
We have no other players so let’s hope the technology chooses to allow some of these players to play.
Whatever, I will be my usual positive self and predict a 1-0 win for Latics providing we can get at least one shot on target.
COYL.27 October 2018 at 1:34 pm #172709Would be made up for McDonald if he plays. Really nice bloke with prem league experience.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!27 October 2018 at 1:54 pm #172710Good shout this one.
If you get the chance Shaun go grab it.27 October 2018 at 2:15 pm #172711Hopefully he gets the chance today. We can beat Sheffield. Just step back a week to WBA.
27 October 2018 at 6:47 pm #172714Well he didn’t so the science testing on him must declare he isn’t fit. Not even on the bench so it’s Connolly hopefully doing better in a more suitable position.
Macca should now his head in shame if he is getting chosen behind Byrne and Roberts for a start but those two gave their all last Saturday. At least we have a ballanced side today with every player playing in position. Hopefully Robinsons fitness is restored to overlap with Roberts.
We can win this.27 October 2018 at 8:16 pm #172715We need a quick response or maybe some damage limitation?
27 October 2018 at 8:22 pm #172716We need a quick response or maybe some damage limitation?Another away day misery!
27 October 2018 at 8:22 pm #172717Deary Deary Me the team are getting ripped a 2nd arsehole !
27 October 2018 at 8:24 pm #172718Better team easily in last 3rd….8 corners created nothing……..Grigg apart strikers non existent.
27 October 2018 at 8:25 pm #172719Can’t even blame the yellow kit
27 October 2018 at 8:27 pm #172720Got a goal back the comeback is on lol
27 October 2018 at 8:28 pm #172721Mac on……goal
27 October 2018 at 9:12 pm #172722Did ok in spells but defensively we a shambles. When we did get forward it quickly fizzled out.As for Powell another 70 mins isn’t a 15 mill player. Burn got mugged today and no way a prem player.Still league pos looks ok but 10 goals conceded in last 3 away very worrying!!
27 October 2018 at 9:21 pm #172723Didn’t expect anything from today’s fixture so no surprises here! Need to beat the media darlings next Sunday though! On another down note, Chorley lost their unbeaten record today!
27 October 2018 at 9:24 pm #172724Without three of our front four and one of our regular defensive midfielders out we didn’t fair to badly. Just a shame we have not got the strength in depth.
It’s going to be a long season. -
