We make around 7/8 changes on a weekly basis.

That side should have been good enough to beat Millwall but didn’t look interested. Collison and McEachran gave us no fight in the middle at all.

Looked to me like 9 players where second to every ball so fear of knocks for team selection on Saturday.

Looked to me like 9 players who know there’s absolutely zip chance of them playing on Saturday and therefore couldn’t give a toss last night.

No harm done, as it happens.[/quote]

No harm done ? Did Brighton, Ipswich and Bournemouth not all win and put themselves just 6 points behind us ! A 9 point cushion with just 5 to play would have been a whole lot easier on the nerves, especially as the aforementioned sides all have winnable on Saturday when we are otherwise engaged !

Then you need to calm down. A 12-point cushion would have been even better but still, if we throw away a 6-point cushion over the 5 remaining games, then we don’t deserve a play-off place.

Keep calm and carry on….as they say.

Win the 2 homes games left and we’re 99% in the play offs.

Just remember what happened the game before the cup final…look how we bounced back.

I feel more confident about Saturday after last night, choosing my words carefully ;)

So many players were recent arrivals. They didn’t know each others styles, and couldn’t anticipate what others might do. So it was difficult to build any flowing moves.

On top of that, there were careless passes. It took half an hour for the team to establish any rhythm. Millwall were a goal up by then.

Like everybody else, Uwe could see this. He reacted with two changes at half time, followed by a third on the hour.

But they still couldn’t impose any authority on Millwall. Millwall deserved the points.

Balls. They train together every day FFS.

If several of them arrived yesterday then maybe but they’ve all been here at least a month.

Well in that case they must all have fallen out and stopped speaking to each other.

or, they all ensured they made themselves available for selection on Saturday by not getting injured.

            That’s not the point John.

We had a great chance to go to go above QPR and even 3rd if Derby had a poor night and we blew it.

Leicester aside there have been some poor performances recently.

Doesn’t really matter whether we go above derby, qpr or whoever, finishing 6th would do me.

            Team for satday :
            1 Carson
            3 Boyce 4 Ramos 5 Barnett
            2 perch 6 MacArthur 7 Gomez 8 Maloney 11 boozy joe
            9 Powell 10 macca
            Subs
            12 Maclean 13 fortune 14 kearnen 15 Ali 16 Maynard 17 holgerson

I hope I’ve got the formation right.

At least Rosler has some choices available. Wenger has very limited options.

The semifinal may have come a week too early for Maloney, and Caldwell too. I think I’d put Maloney on the bench. The choice for replacement lies between McEachran, Collison and Fortune. Although McEachran would give a little more defensive cover, I think I’ll go for Fortune.

I expect Al Habsi to return in goal.

Subs; Kiernan and Maynard are cup-tied, and Holgersson hasn’t played for Wigan yet. I’d add Crainey, McEachran and Collison to the bench.
