again……becoming a pattern. Not taking our chances when dominating then having our pants pulled down.Toney not chipping in with enough goals….need a finisher asap…..Oh ..we have 1…..warming the bench ffs!!!
23 September 2017 at 9:48 pm #162206Well not a pattern really, today and Portsmouth. We didn’t lose because of missed chances at Shrewsbury from what we just heard in another thread.
23 September 2017 at 9:58 pm #162207Latics should have been over the hill and far away by half time – I lost count of the number of chances that went begging and ping-pongs in the penalty area. If ever there was a “Game of two halves”, that was it. Peterborough were a completely different side in the 2nd half.
23 September 2017 at 10:20 pm #162208Striker on bench who is suited to just popping them in,in the box.
23 September 2017 at 10:34 pm #162209Striker on bench who is suited to just popping them in,in the box.Grigg should be starting every match. He is a natural goalscorer and won’t bang many in sat next to the manager. That said, the match should have been won by half time.
23 September 2017 at 10:58 pm #162210Played 2 teams up at the top and 0 points but We’ll walk this league I think.
24 September 2017 at 1:51 am #162211Why do you think we will walk this league?
We can dream but apart from the players we kept from last season there is very little in the squad that could make you so confident.25 September 2017 at 5:28 pm #162223Definitely have a great chance to go up automatically but our finishing leaves a lot to be desired. For me Grigg needs to start as so far Toney not looking like hitting the net regularly although he can create problems for defenders with his athleticism . Peterboro’s last was a quality finish aka Grigg .
25 September 2017 at 8:53 pm #162224We’ve only played what – 8 games now. Im confident that we’ll be reet. In cook we trust.
25 September 2017 at 10:03 pm #162225Someone soon is gonna get a reet tonking off us
27 September 2017 at 12:41 am #162242Making a bad habit of missing too many chances continues tonight with atrocious finishing and also making three and four passes when one or two would do.
27 September 2017 at 2:02 am #162243better team would have punished us tonight. Made hard work of it but three more points in the bag. Good results as well other than shrews 94th min winner at donny!
27 September 2017 at 2:46 am #162244Plymouth never looked like scoring apart from the one that skimmed the bar. Should and hopefully we will start to break these ‘come to defend’ sides down early on which would open them up.
27 September 2017 at 3:29 am #162245Their keeper played a blinder. Save off Jacobs especially.
Full credit to the chaps tonight for sticking at it and getting the win. After so many chances having not lead to a goal it’s easy for heads to drop and think it’s not our night and give up.
We’ll be far less dominant on Saturday and win 3 or 4 nil.
The Pinotage tastes nice tonight; the Fosters in the Springy stand (D entrance bar) wasn’t chilled it was freezing. What will it be like in winter? :S
27 September 2017 at 4:49 pm #162246Fully deserved win just wish they’d have shown the same urgency in the 1st half as they did the last 25 mins.I still think lack of another striker could cost us as i’m still not convinced Grigg is anywhere near the form of 2 seasons ago. Credit to them though for their persistence and keeping to a game plan and not panicking.Very pleased with the 3pts although a heart relaxing 4-0 win on Saturday would be nice.
