Bet you’re a laugh at parties
The kind who when someone comes in carrying 2 trays of Peroni and a box of Grolsch, moans that he “fancies a carling”.
If’s, but’s, and maybes. As long as we are top on May 12th, thats all that matters.[/quote]
Or 2nd! ;)
18 December 2017 at 9:44 pm #164385May well do….but don’t think we will with Grigg and Toney….Grigg is probably the best striker in the division. Toney is far from the best striker in the division however with goals like he scored on Saturday it shows that there is something there. That goal he scored was sublime.
18 December 2017 at 11:24 pm #164386The 3 games over the holiday will determine our season. Oxford away will be hard but we really need the 3 points. If we then go on and win the next 2 home games I believe that will leave only Rovers and Bradford as serious contenders along with ourselves. Here’s hoping that Santa delivers 9 nurps. C,Mon you Tics.
19 December 2017 at 3:00 pm #1643879pts would be best xmas ……but its 4pts for me….win at Oxford..Draw with Charlton…lose boxing day…..Then thi gs at the top will get tight……9pts and i rekon they’ll be chasing shadows behind us.
19 December 2017 at 3:10 pm #164388I would take 2nd place TBH, but I do think we will win the league.
Despite rumblings on here, our strength in depth is the best in the division and we are winning games at the moment without actually playing well.

20 December 2017 at 7:50 am #164392Just a hunch.Rovers going well and in theory easier games over Christmas. I just have a feeling we may labour against the better teams even though they haven’t been in the best of form Shrewsbury and Charlton will severely test us and i think Rovers will capitalise on any cock ups…..just to say i hope i’m way off the mark !!
20 December 2017 at 1:01 pm #164393Maybe Dereck with the way we set up and don’t change that format in a game some managers will find a way round that just the same way as other managers have found the way round the systems that our rivals play. If that duplicates itself over the second half of the season which would allow us a couple of bad results, then in May we will be champions.
20 December 2017 at 1:32 pm #164395At the end of the day Rovers were pre season favs to win the league, they have possibly the most experienced manager in the division and a pretty good squad to boot. Us and them to go up automatically?
23 December 2017 at 3:09 pm #1644489pts would be best xmasApparentely mr brownbill, its christmas & not xmas, as i’ve been told elsewhere.

You do no we have the best attack and defence in the division?
23 December 2017 at 5:50 pm #164451Rekon Shrews or Rovers could nail us for top spot come xmas….!Not a chance

Poor setup today
24 December 2017 at 2:36 pm #164481Oxford win…….that’s the first part of my predictions right…….hope the next 2 are way off the mark. Yesterday’s result was staggering with a special mention for Max Power. Has a fantastic passion for the club…works hard and now scoring as well !!!.Goals flying in but another striker will be joining us in the window. The more the merrier.
24 December 2017 at 3:02 pm #164483After yesterday’s master class where Nathan Byrne looked like Messi, I worry for 3 reasons.
1. I just worry.
2. We’ll be a tad complaceant
3. Teams will come and play very very defensively – with 2 attackers for the quick break, 1 mid-fielder and 7 in the bus in the box.
At least Cookie has told them to start shooting from outside the box rather than trying to dribble it into the goal. Well done Max! -
