Why do I look in on MOTD still thinking I am going to get a reasoned analysis of Wigan Athletic games.
Saw the highlights which showed we only had two attacks, the one’s N’Zogbia scored from, and sevral opportunities by the Toon.
When the ticker tape thingy went across at teh end it showed we had 5 shots on target to their 3 and 5 shots off for us and 6 for them.
The footage made it look like Newcastle hammered us and we got off lucky. The analysis – one line from the ever neutral Alan Shearer on how they were good for their draw and how they needed to stop the rot, nothing on Latics at all.
Why do I bother.
18 October 2010 at 2:55 am #48946Have pointed this out to none Wigan fan mates of mine, who now find it hilarious to reconfirm each week: Wigan are generally one of the last, if not last game, and we generally get just a ‘It was a good win for Wigan’ if anything.
18 October 2010 at 11:24 am #48948Easiest thing to do is to not watch the highlights, MOTD sucks
18 October 2010 at 4:24 pm #48968What do you expect? We are a small unfashionable club who the BBC dont care about. If Blackpool are still in this league in 5 or 6 years it’ll be the same for them. Get over it and stop worrying.
18 October 2010 at 4:51 pm #48971The powers that be don’t want us in the premier league and we’re never shown in a positive light. Personally I like the fact we continue to p**s them off, maybe we should start singing that Millwall song “nobody likes us” then again we could change it to “nobody watches us”
F**k um, bring on the siege mentality!
18 October 2010 at 5:25 pm #48972Speaking to fans of other clubs, namely Villa, Everton and Sunderland, they all feel hard done by on MOTD. I think they concentrate on the Big four and maybe if you get a thrilling game you will be up top.
Best to watch SKY goals on sunday if you have the subscription.
It aint just us, no one really like MOTD unless your a glory hunting armchair fan from the home counties.
26 October 2010 at 1:28 pm #49290I’Ve noticed that sky has started doing 3 ways to see the highlights
1. Football First/Match Choice
You can see all the game plus all of the analysis at the end but Virgin media customers can’t view the match choice they view the game of the day
2.Goals on sunday
You Can see some highlights of the game plus a bit of analysis at the end as well and you can see all of the goals from the leagues
3. Barclays Premier League Review
You can see some highlights from the game but no anaylsis or interviews but you can see some highlights of the game and of your league26 October 2010 at 2:47 pm #49294Speaking to fans of other clubs, namely Villa, Everton and Sunderland, they all feel hard done by on MOTD. Since I gave up my Sky subscription I only have MOTD.
I also live in Buckinghamshire and have a very comfy armchair. -
