We got out of today’s game what Gary put in it. A nil nil draw. Set the stall out with one striker at home is playing for a nil nil draw. Not good enough and not acceptable and definitely not the Wigan Athletic way. Be yourself Gaz and stop trying to copy Bob.
Playing attacking football. Peppering the oppositions box with crosses. Serving strikers with short and long passes. Cutting out sixteen passes in defence when one clearance will suffice. Positve formations. Positive approach. Midfielders going forward and tracking back to defend. Defenders pushing up wide and overlapping with wingers. Strikers not left out on their own but prepared to track back. Players that tame other players on. Come on thirty years surely we can all remember past the last six. Yes we did have dark times but as fans we all new that even at three nill down we would be going for it and not starting a game with the attitude one point is OK.
