Apparently no trains to piccadilly from wigan satday not sure why but its a big romour going round on twitter can anybody clarify

Between Bolton and BlackburnProbably a rumour from the work between Bolton and Blackburn.
A train derailed in Salford this morning and all trains have been cancelled so it is a possibility….

Or it might have somet to do with the train derailment & fire in Salford yesterday.
There are trains cancelled left right & centre going towards Manchester at present.
From what I can gather it was near Regent’s Road which I think is the track that (at some point) runs parallel to the M602 so whether it is also affecting trains that run on the Wallgate line through Salford Crescent & Salford Central I don’t know as those trains go to Victoria & not Piccadilly don’t they?
Apparently there is a problem with a train in Salford… ;)
You could go via Warrington or maybe Crewe any one tried that on train line ??
