I think a fullback with age on his side is a good idea; as that position and goalkeeper are the only places on the pitch we struggle to have adequate competition for. Seeing as at the the moment im a massive Boyce fan and im warming to Stams performances. I’ll nominate a new keeper in the transfer window.
Not that Ali needs replacing but i feel that having Pollitt in there as his wing-man isnt really putting pressure on Ali to retain his place.
Most premierleague clubs have a decent second keeper who is chomping at the bit to have a go. Pollitt as loyal and committed that he is – is never really going to challenge for the shirt.

I don’t necessarily disagree with you area, but that’s what a lot of people thought when we had Kirkland as our number one. Fact is, unless anyone has been on the training ground recently, none of us really know what Polly is cabable of these days.
9 January 2013 at 9:34 pm #99685whats the odds on Himself not signing anyone of any significance and saying “having the loan players back is like having 2 new signings” when the window closes?

9 January 2013 at 10:52 pm #99688goalscorer for me, goals win games and i think thats where we have struggled over the past couple of seasons.
10 January 2013 at 1:32 am #99692Wing back and another striker to replace boselli who surely won’t figure again. That lad at Bradford looks very good so why not have a bash and see what happens.
10 January 2013 at 2:50 am #99702Swerve ball from me with an Uncompromising centre-back who can lead the back line because I think our defensive frailties have been evident far too many times this season !
10 January 2013 at 3:20 am #99705Someone who can hit the back of the net more often than our current front two.
If we took our chances then the odd defensive howler wouldn’t matter. Our problem is we waste chance after chance and then lose concentration to gift the opposition a goal (see the games against QPR and Arsenal)
