For me, they should be kicked out of the competition, due to the disgraceful scenes last night, when they played Millwall. It was appalling.

What does everybody else think about it?

I bet Trevor Brookings arse is twitching this morning. :D

Do you really think West Ham will be kicked out for a few fans on the pitch and abit of steward shoving ?
The trouble outside was nothing to do with football but 2 areas of London that hate each other for alot more than simple football reasons .
Saw nothing other than plenty of passion myself in the ground ,beats the souless ,sit there and wait for the action to take place atmosphere we have at the shiny new DW .
Give me a night like that anyday .

Before you mention people being stabbed etc . One in ashton and one in golborne over the weekend …thats a social problem we have .

“Passion”- F*ck me that’s a tool of a statement, if I ever saw one.

Bet you just love Football Factory and Green Street, eh? Bunch of whoppers. It’s idiots like that lot who ruin it for the rest of us. But for planks like that, Hillsborough would NOT have happened.

Seriously, anybody who thinks that what happened at West Ham last night is GOOD, really must have a shallow life, with no family to consider. I’d bet that you’re also between 15-25 years of age as well.

If not, you really need to take a long, hard, look at yourself. You’ll deny it, in fact probably respond in an angst manner to me.

            angsty ………..
What a lot of teenagers tend to be at times. Generally it involves the feeling of not being understood by anyone and that the person is alone in the world. When in reality about a million other people are feeling the same thing…Can we get a bit of group help people?
A variety of Simple Plan songs express it quite nicely.

“Do you ever feel like breaking down?
Do you ever feel out of place?
Like somehow you just don’t belong
            And no one understands you
Do you ever wanna run away?
Do you lock yourself in your room?
With the radio on turned up so loud
That no one hears you screaming

……….think that sums you up dave 8-)

In simple terms, for an obviously ‘Simple’ person…….

Hooligans invading the pitch, so they put fences up, so when people were crushed at Hillsborough against the fence, they had nowhere to go.

Case closed your honour. (slams case shut)

Now, in terms I am sure your familiar with……”Jog on”.

Disgusting behaviour from all concerned last night.

I fail to understand the mentality of some people.

Everything I saw bar one small incident was West Ham fans
For once it looked like the Millwall fans were the innocent party.
Because it was West Ham I expect it will yet again be brushed aside ala the Vidic and Scholes incidents at the DW on Saturday.
One of these days someone will have the balls to stand up to them, and punish them accordingly. They’ll probably blame Millwall for it all.

You have no idea what you’re talking about.

I started watching football in the late 60s and 70s. Things like that were rife then.

It wasn’t exciting. It wasn’t glamorous. It was very scary. It was not a thrill. It was not enjoyable.

You would go to games watching out who was near you (no segregation then) and worrying whether you’d get home safely.

Give me soulless able-to-watch-the-match-safely every time.

Griff, with all due respect, I went to a game at Hillsborough in 1998 (Sheff Wed V Man Utd-I won tickets in FourFourTwo) and in all fairness, I was APPALLED by what I saw. They had closed certain roads off around the ground, and had 40,000 fans all milling around one side of the ground, along that busy road that goes right by the ground. It was chaotic. Didn’t appear that they’d learned their lesson.

Without wanting to start an Hillsborough debate, my opinion is that the blame, in no particular order or level, was on:

Bad Policing- They panicked, opened the gate that caused the rush.
                          Fans Arriving Late
Bad Organisation- Why did Liverpool fans (the bigger support) not get the opposite end, which was one of the biggest terraces in Europe?
The Fenced In Paddock- Fences due to hooligans in the early 70’s.

My uncle used to follow United in the 60’s and 70’s. He’s told me tales of saving a Wolves fan who was getting a caining at Old Trafford, of getting spit, p*ss, and coins lobbed at him by Leeds fans.

I got hit by a coin at Forest a few years ago. Luckily I had a cap on. I was furious and was all for lobbing it back…….until my mate grabbed my arm and pointed out that the Police had the video camera on us. They KNEW it was going on, but did nothing.

I will say this now, if it heads that way again, trouble being rife, I’m stopping going. How can you take a 3 year old to the match, if it’s like that? Films like Football Factory, that actually INSPIRE teenagers into being like that, should be banned. There’s another out soon, ‘The Firm’. They don’t help.
