Jesus wet Villa 30 squid I was expecting it but was still shocked at the price I suppose it might put off the youthful knobs who turn up every now and then.
I wonder if theirs any chance the new owners will subsidise the game oh I forgot we don’t have new owners yet.
Here we go again folks.27 July 2018 at 11:05 pm #170601It’ll put off more than just the young uns.
Worse than our idiotic pricing for the Wednesday game.28 July 2018 at 1:08 am #170603Jesus wet Villa 30 squid I was expecting it but was still shocked at the price I suppose it might put off the youthful knobs who turn up every now and then.

Here we go again folks. It sounds a lot for a football match, but to be fair that’s because we’ve been spoiled rotten at Wigan with dirt cheap tickets.
Just to try to make a point as to how cheap it is to watch WAFC, we got an Indian takeaway the other night (£20,00 and £5 for an extra rice and starter), we nipped to the pub next door for a drink while they cooked it, (£3.90 for a pint and £5.60) for a wine for our Maud.
We then went to the offie (£6.50 for a bottle of wine and 4 bottles of beer for £5.00) we also got some chocolate and nibbles for later (£5).
Total £50.95 for a quiet night in, nowts cheap these days, but watcing the Latics is good value in comparison.28 July 2018 at 3:45 am #170604Thirty quid is a rip off just like Twenty eight quid.
Best thing is to pick and choose.
Just go to the £20-00 games and keep your fingers crossed there’s some special offers. Also get to any home cup games which are usually cheap.
Just don’t pay it. If the home performances are as entertaining as they have been over the last few years then whatever we pay is just not worth it anyway.28 July 2018 at 3:54 am #170605I think 30 quids reasonable these days

28 July 2018 at 1:24 pm #170609Brilliant post lad. We have always been spoiled yet some feel they are getting ripped off and never stop moaning.
28 July 2018 at 1:32 pm #170610Home tickets at Villa Park £20-£33. for an adult ticket.
So easy at New Springfield with all the empty seats to do a comparable arrangement for comparable seats and cash in all ways.28 July 2018 at 1:39 pm #170611£28 is a rip off and can not be dressed up as anything else. Season cards are fantastic value and not a rip off.
Those words written by Horc are very noble indeed but he moans all the way through most games these days and last season did his fair share of moaning at many a game.28 July 2018 at 2:18 pm #170612£28 is a rip off and can not be dressed up as anything else. Those words written by Horc are very noble indeed but he moans all the way through most games these days and last season did his fair share of moaning at many a game. You’re right, it’s pricey.
However if you want the club to charge less then you need to accept the fact that the club will have less income, won’t be in the Championship for long (& likely never be back) and that the quality of our squad will deteriorate
That’s the going rate these days & is what is needed to ensure the budget the club has to try & complete at this level.
The club knows lower prices would bring a few more in & wuld welcome those extra people but the few extra wouldn’t be enough to make up the money lost by charging less28 July 2018 at 3:26 pm #170613It isn’t just Latics who are charging crazy prices. It’s rife through football forced up by extortionate salary’s demanded by players and also the price of transfers, agents etc. Squad sizes too are just ridiculous and all the parafanalia that surrounds clubs just leaches out money. Clubs like ours are just trying to find anyway to an income. Ours does it by offering cheap tickets for most and this year cashing in on away fans. Previous seasons we have had Uncle Dave and Sky, plus selling players. We hope not to sell players but unless we have another income stream we will. Selling Powell would be something like three years gate receipts which puts the little bit extra we turn over from away fans into perspective.
Where the game is heading in the future who knows but there doesn’t seem an end to the craziness with Liverpool signing a keeper for 60 million quid just sending repercussions right down the pyramid.28 July 2018 at 4:00 pm #170614£28 is a rip off and can not be dressed up as anything else. Those words written by Horc are very noble indeed but he moans all the way through most games these days and last season did his fair share of moaning at many a game.I have the odd moan about team selections, tactics and game plans, but these are normal things that fans discuss before, during and after games, and as fans we all have our opinions and always know better than the man paid thousands to make those decisions.
Your moans and groans and obsession about the matchday prices, whether the East Stand ticket Office is open, the noise level of the tannoy and, lets be honest here, virtually everything to do with WAFC is different and on a level of no other ‘fan’ I have ever come across.
It makes me wonder whether you love our great club as much as you have made out over the last 60 years.
If you put as much time and energy into supporting what WAFC do on and off the field as you do slagging them off everyone would benefit.FFS, just get a bleedin’ season ticket. It would reduce your matchday price by a fortune even if you didn’t go to every match.
There would then be no need to worry about the ticket office being open, or the speed of the staff, the queues, the need to give all your details etc, etc, et fucking cetera.
I know you are sat there now, itching for a reply and for everone to bite, as 95% of what you say is for effect and to get a reaction anyway, but all these fuckers on here don’t have to put up with it for 3 hours on matchdays as well.PS. You can always go under the concourse to get away from the noise of the tannoy.
PPS. Me and LHL are debating whether to go halves on a season ticket for you just to give our ears a rest, it would be worth it.28 July 2018 at 4:25 pm #170615Ooh suits you sir ha ha.
28 July 2018 at 4:47 pm #170616Perhaps you could use Bullitt’s mate’s ST – the guy who lives in Australia and never goes, but loves the club so much, he buys a ST every year.
