B)Good on him, I know I would sooner be sat in the sun with a pint in my hand to say “yes” or “no” when my manager asks me a question. Do you not think that targets are already sorted and the stance is known on what it would take to let any of our players leave.

Whelan has been in Barbados for Christmasand will return in the next couple of days, if he isn’t already back. Then, he will return to Barbados in February AFTER the transfer window shuts.
How do I know this? Because it’s been the same routine for the last few years, that’s why. So, it is typical Whelan, but not in the way you hoped.
