As a proud happy clapper I shall continue to attend the games I can and support the team.
But
Until Cook is gone, I will not spend one penny at any home game, and, not go to my seat until after kick off.
So, I will not buy a programme, pie, pint (pints), place a bet or pay for parking on a home match day. It’ll save me a few quid so the wife’ll be chuffed. This will be my protest at the club giving up and accepting relegation, in December!
It’s a small one man protest but I can’t sit on my hands and watch us fade away without some kind of protest.
I do hope someone at the club actually reads this.
8 December 2019 at 11:25 am #182707I’ll moan about Cook but not go a game ? na, that kind of protest is futile
8 December 2019 at 12:19 pm #182710The club must be trembling at the thought of this Edwards. I know VAT threatened some extreme action in the week with his one man pitch invasion but not buying a programme and a pie is gonna send tremors all the way to Hong Kong surely.
8 December 2019 at 12:34 pm #182711On Wednesday don’t boo the players, don’t even abuse Cook. Give it loads to Darren Royle especially those closer too him. If he’s getting an uncomfortable match day nithings going to happen.
8 December 2019 at 12:36 pm #182712I will always continue to attend games (work permitting off course as always in my case). I’m a supporter who will continue to give my support through the good, bad & ugly times. When our attendances dropped to an all time low in the early – mid 90s (pre Whelan), I was still there watching arguably the worst team ever to wear our kit. I will continue to watch my club if they end up in the same league as whatever runcorn linnets are in. Even runcorn town who are in the league below the linnets.
But, all being well, I’ll be there Wednesday night supporting the lads & getting behind them. But even as a happy clapper myself, I might start chanting Cook Out if things aren’t starting to go to plan.
8 December 2019 at 12:37 pm #182713How about a silent protest; absolutely no clapping, booing, cheering, just absolute deafening silence !
8 December 2019 at 12:43 pm #182715Who’s better than what we’ve got ? If Unsworth comes we will get relegated.

I know it is futile but I can’t just do nothing and let the club fall apart and give up, as it seems at the moment. If everyone did the same it might have some impact but that’s not going to happen.
We’re all saying similar things on here week after week and someone at the club must read them but there’s no action or reaction . I know they shouldn’t normally listen to us but results speak for themselves.Hopefully there will be some change this week and I can have my beloved pie again.

On current form and 2 season away record I’d say pretty much anyone.

Already said it. We have an ex manager- well 2 to be exact, sitting on their arses. I say bring Peter Reid in. He would kick a few backsides.
8 December 2019 at 1:32 pm #182721How about a silent protest; absolutely no clapping, booing, cheering, just absolute deafening silence !OI!! I did that v Swansea, my idea. But it wasn’t a protest. Reached £450 at Luton. Thanks Ali. It’s a good wheeze, people around you will love it.
I will protest, but I will go to my seat before kick off – I’d hate to miss a goal.
8 December 2019 at 3:58 pm #182723I might moan on here and call for Cooks head but those who booo or sing, “Your getting sacked in the morning !” Bow your heads in shame, that for me is embarrassing.
I didnt go Saturday but I watched the highlights and it was the type of defending my lad use to do with the under 6’s.
It’s a fair indictment that we’ve conceded in our last 9 games in the 85th minute onwards. If you can’t defend you have had it.
I mean, it’s no rocket science that you build a side from the back. Whoever’s doing defensive coaching and tactics should be the first one who gets a P45 then those players who can’t implement tactics, 2nd.8 December 2019 at 4:42 pm #182725The summer recruitment bit us in the backside yesterday. We spent way more than we expected but only got one central defender in, on loan, and looking injury prone. Dunkley and Kipre were shocking last season and too much faith has been put in them. Fox and Mulgrew might be half decent, but we’ll never know as their always on the treatment table.
Whoever is in charge come January has to prioritise finding some steady defenders.
When typing this it feels like I’ve stated the most stupidly obvious issue ever, but does the management see these things?
8 December 2019 at 7:16 pm #182734Certainly wouldn’t give him 1 penny more to blow……Moore I rate…..Lowe ? Nah….maybe a new leader may get a different tune out of him. Then again that could apply to whole squad. Massey/Jacobbs in particular look 2 levels below this league but still make appearances.
