With Toney having now gone we are playing with fire a bit. Vaughan supposedly a target but only when Sunderland sign 2 strikers will he be allowed to come. That may happen 31st Jan so what does PC do?. Surely Callum Lang must be recalled as cover for Will and if the black cats drag their feet over Vaughan then leave him there and target someone else. I hope this window doesn’t scupper our goal this season. C,Mon you tics.

Lang has been nominated for League Two player of the month having netted 5 in 5 ! His manager was on Radio Lancashire earlier tonight singing his praises, saying he had matured and grown in confidence. Is that not why we sent him there in the first place ? If his loan spell has come to fruition then i say recall him back to the squad!
Nobody will go from the first choice 13 or so who is required next season in the championship.Exactly.

Vaughan looks a done deal, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see another couple of players coming in – possibly on loan.

The Sunderland fans don’t rate Vaughn but they are a team of strugglers in a dogfight and maybe the Championship is a level too high for him made worse for a striker in a poor side and pressures from fans who were expecting life a tad easier. Maybe dropping down to us is dropping to his level. We should hope so but so long as Will is scoring he is only going to get the odd Cameo appearance but he can’t be any worse than Toney, surely.
However with Walker and now Vaughn both signed up, attacking options and strengths are looking much better fingers crossed.
Ironically as things are we will be swapping places with Sunderland next season.
