Put him on gardening leave and promote anyone from inside the club……the sports the Ffp bollocks…….he cannot be allowed to continue………

We have Peter Reid and/or Joe Royle. I’d rather one of them step in until the end of the season. Reid in particular wouldnt stand for any sh1t.

Superb again. Can’t score. Gelhardt very good when he came on. Guess you haven’t seen game. So obvious we have no striker. Forest fans saying best team they’ve seen this season. Team playing for Manager and this run of us playing so well and losing can’t carry on forever.

Roy…mate…I admire your stance, I genuinely do, I have no doubt you live and breathe in the best interests of the club, but we can’t continue indefinitely with ‘jam tomorrow’.

You’ll see now that the bottom four (of which we are last) are being cut adrift….general performance is utterly pointless without goals at one end and/or clean sheets at the other ….and we can’t manage either ….regardless of how much ‘good stuff’ we play in between.

      Something fundamental has to change

That handball shout is a shocker

Windass missing 2 penalties would of been too much to take.

I’m not confident we’d have scored, but was a nailed on penalty.

Now that everyone has calmed down and had time to think seriously about the game without “a cook out” head on, how the fuck did we lose that. ?
Missed penalty, Byrne’s one on one break away miss, a second nailed on penalty and a rake of other half chances against basically one glancing header that could have gone anywhere.
I think Forest only got out their own half 3 or 4 times in the second half.
So losing that game was all down to Paul Cook eh?
I want him out, but FFS, that was a fekin awesome performance that was all about the fine margins Cook has bleated on about all season.
It left me feeling gutted for Cook the players and fans that get behind them week in week out.

Like many things it’s a results based industry.
If a sales person doesn’t reach their target then it could be bye bye. If they do the goalposts are widened.
If factory workers don’t reach targets or production fails it’s tough luck, no bonus or no job.
In football there’s nothing for nearly winning or almost winning and Cooky keeps reaching this position and has been lucky so far his employers have given him the benefit. Many of the fans have been tolerant too but now can just see the dropped points week in week out no matter how close we go to getting the wins that count.

Played well at Rovers….1pt zero goals. Again at Forest zero goals.Sorry but had we played the one genuine striker available then just maybe 1 of those chances been converted and he should be taking the pen. He comes on boxing day, nets a poachers finish then returned to the bench. Garner no world beater but he can poach a goal so it IS Cooks fault we can’t score. Fine margins ????…What 38 away 2 wins……that’s not fine margins causing those stats. No striker v Rovers, Derby,Forest…..1 goal and 1 point. Continue to play Massey is unforgiving…completely out of form…..and why the hell Windass taking pens god knows. Now for Geldhardt……proved yesterday he should be involved much more. I reckon all those in bottom 8,desperate for points would have him playing…….not Cook. Any wonder why it’s no win in 13 ??…How many more good performances do we reckon are acceptable without winning????

Yes football is a results based industry and for me it’s been down to fine margins all season, throwing away leads, conceding in the last minute, missed pens etc. Yes cook picks the team but the eleven players on the pitch have to take responsibility also to see out a result, so does that mean some players aren’t good enough? I think we have some decent players but also bang average league one players, things have improved in the last few games, we’ve played some good football at times but the last third is shocking. Moore on his own didn’t work, windass on his own isn’t working, something has to change, if that’s cook then so be it, if he stays then he has to try something different. If we’re sticking with one up top i think garner looks more likely to get goals, personally, heaven forbid, i would have Moore up top then either garner, joffy or windass behind and two wingers. We have to be more braver, we have nothing to loose.

Yes I agree its a results based industry and the results that matter Donny are those after 46 games not 23.
There’s quite a few posting on this thread that had their tails between their legs in May this year after beating like spoilt school kids for near on a full season.
I don’t want to start a cyber battle between Lightsider and dark side, but we are talking about grown ups here.

57 points from 35 games. 15 wins and only 8 defeats.

We are playing well but the fine margins haven’t gone out way. Gone on too long now to be bad luck. The problem is there are no goals in the team. The 3 behind Jacobs Massey and Lowe don’t have a goal in them. Backed up with a combo of Morsey Williams and Evans, no goalscoring midfielders there. Doesnt matter how well you then play if no goalscorers to take the chances.

Change to Pilks Geldhart and Windass behind either Moore or Garner and you’ve got more of a goal threat.
