Bobby you may be articulate, good with the media etc but you have put together a team that is going nowhere…no heart, tempo, belief,….. and…

3. Scharner…have some balls and make him play centre half rather than his wandering minstrel role.

“Told you so”. There you go. Glad some of the non-believers are now seeing how bad we really are. I’ve estimated we’ll struggle to get another 15 points this season. I stand by that.
It’s been obvious for weeks that we are in deep. I’ve never seen a Latics side concede goals so easily. Not even the 1993 relegation side were as bad at it. At least they made a fight of things. We seem to do the easy things very badly. I like Martinez and Jones, etc, as blokes. But they aren’t up to it. There are players at the club who are NOT FIT to wear the shirt. The first person to “do a Nyarko” on one of the useless gets, deserves a standing ovation. Ok, they’ll get kicked out and a ban, but would you be bothered?
Bolton*** have sacked Megson today, obviously thinking ‘get someone new in for the transfer window’. Well, only one man can sort our problem out and that man is as stubborn as the world is round.
However, someone put it to me a few weeks ago “I wouldn’t put it past Roberto walking away, if things don’t improve. He seems the type who’d hold his hand up, rather than let it go on too far”.
We’ll see. But who else would take the job? I’d love Mark Hughes. Arrogant, ultimately professional, not bothered about being liked. But I couldn’t see him coming to us.

Messieurs Vat….I, along with many others here, would like to wholeheartedly tell you (and the other 3/4 peeps that share your log in password) Ferk orft please. Entertaining as some of your missives have been your collective, and often conflicting, opinions have done nothing but confirm what we have known for such a long time but have been in denial from.
