Saw two teams tonight that are going to struggle all season.

But I can actually see us both being OK in the end.

He is obviously very easily pleased. If I could I would sack him first thing in the morning. I have lost patience with him.

            Springfield, two serious questions:

When Bruce left, who would have been a better choice of manager than Martinez?

Bearing in mind that Mark Hughes wouldn’t even consider the Wigan job, Curbishley has turned down every job for the past eighteen months, Souness has ruined every club he has been at, and Paul Jewell’s luck ran out at Derby, if you sacked Martinez now, who would you bring in?

In every line of work, if you are to lose a vital part of your team, you need a replacement lined up, or at least a contingency plan. You may not like Martinez, but what’s the point of sacking him if you’ve nobody better to bring in?

Can’t believe you based all your pre-judged opinion of this season on a kick-about memorable only for Cattermole kicking lumps out of some 12 year old and my lad going to his first ever game (first half only)

So, the ‘w@nkfest’ surrounding the prodigal son’s return was all a dream then, was it?

A bit like Pam waking up, and Bobby stepping out of the shower?

                  (Young un’s-ask your parents)

                  Dear me.
