Are there any computer buffs out there who might know why my computer won’t let me on Vital Wigan.
Every time I try to load it, it comes up as an error and says it won’t open the site because my date and time is wrong.
The https: at the start of the web address goes red and has a X and lines through it.
If I can’t get on, it might have to be an end for the Guess the Gate Comp.Help urgently needed please as I am clueless with computers.
Make sure your date and time is set correctly on your laptop.
Make sure your cmos battery isn’t knackered. This is the battery that remembers the time and date on your laptop so that everytime you turn it off on it remembers what you set it to.Clear all cookies and the bookmark for it then type it again and try another browser Opera Firefox etc

I don’t think it is a glitch with the site, as I tried it from work today and it worked okay.
I use an Apple Mac PC, not a Lap Top, so there are no worries about batteries etc.
I’ll try clearing the cookies and see what happens.Thanks again.
I’ve ended up changing the date on my PC to 29/09/21 and I can now access Vital, but I can’t post anything. This is doing my head in.
Due to my computer still playing up, the ‘Guess the Gate’ Competition will continue, but just on CockneyLatic.
I can’t access and post on Vital, and I have tried for a week to fix it, but have not managed to sort it.
I think it is something to do with my OS on my Apple Mac, but being a technophobe I haven’t got a clue how to sort it.
If someone on here could please put a message on Vital to let them know they can still join in, but will have to come on here to post their prediction.Horc, i’ve added some predictions for Guess the Gate in the section above, for some reason it isnt showing that i am the last poster.
Maybe worth checking daily.

Cheers Bullitt, I just thought that no one had posted any as my name was on the home page as the last to post.
Anyway, they are all added now, along with vinceHill who had also posted a prediction but didn’t show up either as the last person to post.
I’ll open the post up more often even if it shows me as the last poster.
