A very good performance by us, I thought we were plain old unlucky especially to concede late on then hit the bar with the last kick of the game.
Again I’m hearing ppl slag off Power saying he’s not good enough my thoughts are regarding he’s performance against Watford is,I thought he played well, he got about the field with some good passes and corners. Granted he makes mistakes but when all said and done he plays in the hardest position on the pitch and a position were 50% of a game takes place so he’s gonna make the odd blunder.
And to those who I heard slating Power while I were going over the bridge, I never once heard anyone say how Cousins did a disappearing act for 90 mins or how McClean can’t defend and how he was caught out in the second half no!! It was about Power not been good enough.
But overall if we can maintain the way we played against Watford and QPR regular over the season we’ll win more than we’ll lose & draw.
30 October 2022 at 6:21 pm #197379I thought Power played well yesterday and was always trying to create down the right with Darikwa.
Could not fault either for effort or work rate yesterday and I felt we deserved the draw against a very good Watford team.
Once we get Lang back I think results will improve as we really are missing his presence.31 October 2022 at 11:29 am #197382I thought that we did OK while watching the game. Only afterwards did I get the reality check that Watford are a very good side, and we were not fazed by them and could quite easily have won the game, though a draw would probably have been fair.
Unfortunately, football isn’t fair sometimes and teams don’t get what they deserve. But play like we have done over that couple of games, plus sort our finishing out, and we will be fine.
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
31 October 2022 at 1:17 pm #197392Agree….but not forgetting they had 6 or 7 regulars missing so for me they’ll be up there. Just the substitutions annoying. Still 0-0 and I get the Magennis one but why not get Scully or Aasgaard on with him for width and pace. Then Cousins for Naylor ???….Negative,….then he brings them both on after we go behind…..toooooo late !!!……Why is is it the same subject keeps being raised ??? Without balls in from wide Magennis provides jack shit . Majority of his goals at Hull/N Ireland came from crosses he can attack. If Liam doesn’t want to play a system that optimises his strengths then don’t play him !!!! He is totally ineffective in the 50 yard ball down the middle dross. For me our already limited goal threat went out the window when he came on alone….
1 November 2022 at 10:42 am #197403It’s no secret (and loyalty to McClean) LR doesn’t fancy Pearce. This lad can cross a ball for fun but I’m not sure about his defending but tbh, neither can McClean.
McClean for me cannot play 2 games a week. He’s a year older and up a league and it’s showing. It’s a shame but age is catching up with him so for me he would have to play less games. My worse fear is, LR will remain loyal even when the injuries start to pile up and take their toll. This will mean players will end up playing in unnatural positions simply because LR prefers a buddie.
Another thing, we never fookin ever get any luck. Just run of the mill bounces always seem to be against us
