I am new to this forum so am pretty sure this topic has been covered before, so my apologies if it has.I was talking with friends over the weekend and we got on to the subject of the gentleman who used to walk all around the Wigan area a few years back.If i remember he was very slim ,wore a suit, glasses, and usually carried a plastic bag.I have a feeling he originated from the Standish area but i did see him around Scholes and even up in Aspull.I always found him intriguing and hope someone can enlighten me as to who he was ,and where he is now and if there was a story behind him ?

Oh good .Your info will be autobiographical then ?On a sensible note – is the real Standish Walker still alive?
(It’s couldn’t have been me. The ‘he was very slim’ didn’t ring true)
The last time I saw him was when I created this username in around 2003-ish.
