Is this going to be the team that gets the full brunt of us actually taking our chances.
The last time we were in this league, Walsall were front runners for a lot of the season, doesn’t look like they are the same force now.30 September 2017 at 10:01 pm #162293Thought we played well today and a comfortable 3 points. Walsall were half decent, well organized and worked hard but offered next to nothing up front. In fact Dan Burn gave them their best two chances I think.
Great vision from Powell with the through ball for Grigg. All round a better performance than against Northampton & Plymouth for me?
30 September 2017 at 10:15 pm #162294It was one of those comfortable wins where we never really had to break sweat. I thought we also played some good stuff at times as well.

Are all our fans out celebrating another victory and another clean sheet?1 October 2017 at 4:01 am #162306Another enjoyable 3 points with some decent football on show. Game drifted last 20 as they had so little to offer in an attacking sense but overall a good solid performance which bodes well for the coming months. Can see why we are even money for the league with some bookies. We look a much better side at this point than the last title winning side.
1 October 2017 at 4:23 am #162307I think Walsall will take points off many teams this season. Very workman like and the young number 18 looked really bright as did the diminutive number 10. I think today’s win at a canter, shows where we are in this league. James out Elder in and it didn’t make any difference. Shrewsbury are doing well, but will they keep it up when suspensions and injuries kick in, we will.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!1 October 2017 at 1:42 pm #162308Came out the blocks, got the goal, slipped it back into neutral and coasted home.

Are all our fans out celebrating another victory and another clean sheet? You’re welcome donny. I do wonder though, how many posts we would have had after the game had we have godforbid, lost! :0

Shrewsbury are doing well, but will they keep it up when suspensions and injuries kick in, we will. For all our differences, and I apologise for the sweary response I fired back at you a couple of weeks ago, I’ve said exactly the same about Shrewsbury. They won’t keep it up all season and once injuries and suspensions hit, and they get done 3 nil by someone, their bubble will burst. Where as, our squad has strength in depth and is a lot more adaptable. Once we get to the top, we will take some knocking off as well.
I said yesterday that I can see us being unbeaten all season at the DW.
1 October 2017 at 5:50 pm #162316Think u r right there about our strength, sometimes though you can get a really tight squad that sticks it out so lets see about Shrewsbury. I personally think we haven’t clicked yet and there is a lot more to come. Hopefully the management team are focussed on keeping everyone together and when looking strongly placed getting the plans in place early so we are strong next season. He says jumping ahead! Good stuff so far though, I am very happy with our start
1 October 2017 at 5:59 pm #162317It’s been a fab start but hopefully we don’t get a major injury crisis and can control the discipline. We have a fantastic backbone of players running through the side but I just wonder if stand ins for Burn, Morsy, Jacobs, Powell or Grigg are good enough if two or three of these were missing. Just being cautious I suppose.
1 October 2017 at 6:37 pm #162318Every team in the league will be hoping they don’t get a glut of injuries but we are probably able to cope with one a bit better than the rest.
1 October 2017 at 10:04 pm #162319What is impressive looking at the table is where we have already played. Shrews Posh Charlton all up there and if we can win at Scunny it will be another of the harder away games out the way. C,Mon Wigan.
