Warrington have won the race for the signature of disgraced Australian three-quarter Joel Monaghan.
The 28-year-old former Test winger, who resigned from Canberra Raiders to spare them any further embarrassment over the publication on the internet of a lewd photograph, has signed a 12-month contract with the Wolves.
Monaghan was pursued by a host of Engage Super League clubs after deciding to spend 2011 in Europe to get away from the storm of publicity that was sparked by a photograph of him simulating sex with a dog during the Raiders’ drunken end-of-season party.
You can google the pictures, they aren’t good for his reputation.I got told about that at the football yesterday, being caught on camera with a right DOG whilst drunk, Heeley has the picture on his phone.
