when we stayed up last season we were told that we can now progress & push up the table & all the hard work will start to pay off – or words to similar effect. i am beginning to wonder why progress is not being made.
Why ill tell thi! We are the poorest club in the league with the worst paying support meaning financial investment in a league which is constantly moving on is difficult. Hence we lose our best players and try to continually develop ‘rough diamonds’ not fancied by other clubs. In addition to this since taking over our Manager has had to cut the wage bill considerably in order that we become sustainable in the future. Of course our manager is ambitious and hopes in spite of the above that we continue to grow but simple economics mean it will always be difficult.
If we had a full house every week that would only generate 5m of cash every year so with the attendances we have we probably only lose out on about 2m from that so im not having that one as an excuse. It’s one of Dave’s favourites.
Have you ever read our accounts? You may be in for a surprise. How do you think we generate income? For a start most other clubs season tickets are double ours and they get double our crowds which outs us at a slight disadvantage. Sky never want to show us so thats another load down. ‘Im not buying that one’. Aye. We are absolutely loaded with home crowds of 12-13k. FFS!
amazing we get 12k home fans with the shyte played week in and out
anytime now being rock bottom and no sign of recovery
crowds will drop way down too many have had enough now
the rot started when bruce left and a decent team was ripped apart
mind you spanish manager and a spanish sounding team
wigan athletico meaning wigan athletic 0 every week
I think he probably expected Charlie to stay and to add to the squad. Instead we lost our best player and have been playing most of the season with key players injured.

Roy, do tell me….What division do you think we should be in ? From what you spout, we are smaller than any Championship club and smaller than a good percentage of League One ! So is it League One with the hope of maybe making the odd play offs !!
Nail hit squarely on head there. Championship/ Div one is about right. We’ve been punching way above our weight for a long time now.
I don’t want us to go down, but it’s inevitable and I’m a realist. The sooner you get your head round it the sooner you’ll cheer up and stop your whining.
