We’ve found it very hard to keep possession in the last three games;
Zulte Waregem 61% Wigan 39%
Wigan 44% Leicester 56%
Manchester City 63% Wigan 37%I’m afraid that it won’t be any different at Watford.
As for tactics, I’ve no idea what we’ll do. Against Ipswich all we could do was hit the ball long for McClean to chase. It’s not very sophisticated, yet against City Dicho never had a pass to run onto. We desperately need a new forward!
Sorry chaps, but I fear the worst. I think we’ll be under pressure most of the afternoon. It’s asking a lot of the defence to withstand Watford’s attack for 90 minutes.

Away results this season;
Watford 1-0 Wigan
Manchester City 5-0 Wigan
Zulte-Waregem 0-0 Wigan
Leicester 2-0 Wigan
Bournemouth 1-0 Wigan
Manchester United 2-0 Wigan
Barnsley 0-4 WiganWe haven’t scored away from home since Barnsley – and they are bottom of the table.

We played well by all accounts but were toothless upfront – again.
Refused a stone wall pen in the 2nd half apparently.
We desperately need a striker from somewhere.
Worrying times ahead perhaps??
29 September 2013 at 1:39 am #121609Indeed we need a striker. We have only had since June to do this! How about giving up any hope of a quick promotion this season and concentrating on the two cups. Lets get a proper manager in like we should have done in the summer and please Dave give him a couple of bob to sign players and not just journey men.

You can’t legislate for them both being injured at the same time.
However both have failed to impress me from what I’ve seen of them so far.
Fortune doesn’t seem to have 90 minutes in him and Holt seems far too bulky.
We’re also missing Maloney badly.
There have been too many changes as well.The team can’t settle into a pattern of play and get used to each other.It’s right at the start of the season so you can’t use tiredness as an excuse at this stage.
Decide on a settled side and stick with it would be my choice ;)
29 September 2013 at 3:46 pm #121633Players who play twice week can give less in a game than those who play once a week. And you cannot expect players to play Sunday, recover Monday and play Tuesday.
Coyle has a large squad and the intense programme – which will continue into the New Year – means that Coyle has to rotate his players.
The master of rotation was Sir Alex Ferguson. As David Moyes has discovered, it is a difficult skill.
