Huge rumour via Peterbro owner we’ve won our appeal and no points will be deducted.
1 August 2020 at 10:49 am #188356Where have you seen that?
1 August 2020 at 11:33 am #188357It’s all over Twitter via the owner of Peterbro.
It’s very strange that Cook has gone the day after the appeal. Believe you me, admin do not give away things lol1 August 2020 at 12:08 pm #188364Why would the Peterborough owner know before anybody else?
1 August 2020 at 12:29 pm #188365Large pinch of salt required here me thinks, hope it’s true though

Not on my twitter or my #wafc hashtags. Yet more bollocks from cupwinners.
1 August 2020 at 1:54 pm #188367Fingers crossed he’s right. Take it he gets 1st dibs at scraping the yokes off your kipper should it be true ?
1 August 2020 at 2:06 pm #188368We might win the appeal, but the Peterborough owner hasn’t said we have. Or not that I have seen, or not that cupwinners has linked to.
1 August 2020 at 2:08 pm #188369I really don’t think we’ll win the appeal if I’m honest. Or if we do we’ll probably get 1 point back.
1 August 2020 at 4:59 pm #188373Peterborough owner has been very supportive of Latics and the treatment by the EFL.
1 August 2020 at 7:02 pm #188374I do hope this is true. But I cant see it.

Now then, young Adam Egg; the way I see it is this: our appeal was based upon the Pandemic and thus the Force Majeure claim. If this has now been substantiated by the Chinese owner and we lose our case, then any future FM Covid claim by any club during this crisis will have to be knocked back as well; which really makes it pointless having a Force Majeure clause in the first instance. We could well see an epidemic of clubs in real difficulty through no fault of there own making. I think that a reduced points deduction is a realistic outcome that shows that penalty has been applied, but with a measure of leniency given the circumstances. That way, it doesn’t set the precedent that Covid cannot be considered in an FM claim.
1 August 2020 at 9:02 pm #188379Don’t forget; we can always appeal against the verdict (in a normal legal challenge); but how much would that cost

Very true, BUT, I think everything that has come out since proves that our administration has very little to do with covid regardless of what au yeung says.
