Good job Sunderland in meltdown and Mk draw cos we would be starting to worry with our goal shy run.Since Magennis arrived we had drawn blanks but more importantly as last nights 2nd half in particular showed this long ball crap isn’t working. Probably as poor as we’ve been this season but the quality of our play has been deteriorating for several games now. Still in great position and I believe even Rotherham can be caught but starting Saturday we need huge improvement starting with Humphreys on at start and Keane back ASAP.
Ref was vvank, poor pen decision, Bannan should have gone 2nd yellow. Magennis not good enough, Shinnie too small for a centre half because that’s were he plays.
Aasgaard out for the season, Keane 2 weeks off, were are the goals gonna come from ??.
I’m sorry but for the past few weeks Richardson has got it wrong mightily wrong. 1 goal in 4 games is far from promotion material.
We should have invested and took a chance on the likes of Cole Stockton who would guarantee us goals.
Right now in our current form play offs at its best. There’s 6points between 2nd and 8th, games in hand mean nothing when you cant buy a win.And all said without saying Shinnie is useless
Agree…..missed a trick with Stockton. Not just the goals but hold up play. So far Magennis looking like Fortune reincarnated. Still in a great position so let’s get back in the groove but as you said manager needs to rejig his tactics.
Poor performance but it was only 1 – 0 ,on another night our offside goal is given and their penalty not given and we are all talking about a hard earned victory. We seem to be missing that intensity that blew teams away earlier in the season an we are definitely missing Will Keane not just for his goals but his movement off the ball creating space and chances for others. I agree with you we should have gone for Stockton . Not too despondent but we have two massive home games coming up ,let’s get right behind the lads !
A very poor result that has been on the cards for many weeks arguably since the Cambridge away game.
I hope it is just a blip and we are simply not getting the ‘rub of the green’ at the minute, two clear cut chances missed and some very iffy decisions.
Pressure is on now and he needs to shake it up massively for Saturday.Its the total lack of creativity that’s worrying. That 2nd half at Sheff Weds was as poor as it gets. For this to creep into our game 2/3rds in and cause for concern. I know we have injuries but did we recruit well in Jan? Attacking wise Richardson got this one wrong.
When it was announced I said “Who’s Magennis?”. Seriously its time for the young lads to be thrown on late on because without goals within 3-4 matches we could easily be out the play offs.
