What a journey!surely you have noticed that bobby likes to have a left footer (hence the man from celtic – joke) on the right wing. now he has 2 new right wingers.
yes i know gomez is left footed but he ain’t know wingerunlike most im not anti gomez he played in his natural position sat and did ok he never hides knowing every mistake he makes will get around of boos yet when victor or hugo for example make the wrong options soon after we will sing their songs to survive in this league we need team spirit it seams to be there in the dressing room but as fans we are part of the team so instead of the boos pick him up and dust him down he could make the difference
I wasn’t being negitive on Gomez, just saying he ain’t a winger. I thought his game on Saturday was good and to be fair, young Jimmy Mac wil struggle to reclaim that spot if Gomez carries on (and why would you change it). He did fade towards the end before he was subbed. There were a few mistakes and lack of willingness to make the tackle but he had put a shift in for the first 60 minutes.
keep it up and he can become a latics legend.

To be fair. Gomez’s starting games to available games ratio is very low in the 2 seasons he’s been here so Bobby hardly plays him every game
However he has been mostly poor when called upon – that said he was finally played in his natural position on Saturday & had his best game in a latics shirt. He deserves to keep his place ahead of James McCarthy who hasn’t hadn’t a decent game for quite some timeI have now spoke to 2 Celtic fans and they both said he is a right sided player but O’Neil played him on the left to cut in just as NZogbia did when he played on the right for us ! He puts in a shift and is a tough little fcuker !! He sound ok to me !
