11 November 2010 at 3:03 am #50689Griff are you real, N Zogbia was excellent tonight and being our best player does take the ball on his own and rightly so.
You have no idea once again.

That’s true. As much as I like Gomez, I think Cleverley has that little bit more.
At least a dozen times N’Zogbia ran up blind alleys and continued to do so until someone took the ball off him. Never mind, we only have to put up with him until January 1st.
11 November 2010 at 11:54 am #50711Cleverley played better when he moved into the Gomez position….
11 November 2010 at 12:31 pm #50715Cleverley played better when he moved into the Gomez position….Always said he would, but then he left me with egg on my face when he was woeful against Fulham.

He ‘rightly’ takes ths ball on his own and does nothing with it apart from get tackled, probably 6 times out of 10??
He is our best player by a country mile. I think he would be even more effective for us if once in a while – not every time – he passed just before he loses the ball.
11 November 2010 at 12:40 pm #50717N’Z was by far our best, most dangerous and direct player last night – in my opinion he was excellent (btw – I also thought Thomas had a good game)
Griff – you would find fault if Pele, Maradona or Best played for us !

Pele can’t get it up, Maradona’s a smack-head and Best was a lush. You’ll have to come up with better players than that ;)You – and natdan – clearly failed to spot the tongue-in-cheek nature of my original comments which I freely admit were designed to provoke a bite.
He is a great player, great to watch and he was excellent last night. I do still think though with a little less greed he could be even more effective. But I accept that there’s an element of “if you don’t buy a ticket you won’t win the raffle” with him and perhaps it is worth going up the 6 blind alleys to get the 4 chances/goal attempts.
He certainly frightened the life out of the Liverpool defence

Most of the scousers I know rated Rodders last night, the way he ran their back four was impressive. Once we committed players forward in the second half we looked dangerous, but slightly exposed at the back.
11 November 2010 at 7:53 pm #50774had a good game did rodders as did many of the team, you see we can do it when we want just gotta find that level of consistancy.same performance against west brom and they wont live with us.c’mon wigan :D
