I thought it was a given that the managers who won their divisions would win the award.
Sean Dyche must be scratching his head today.
After the massive turnover in staff and a recruitment drive starting from scratch with a huge cut back in the overall wage bill this reward HAS justifiably been given to GC.

In effect we gave every team in the league a head start coz we were a completely new squad and needed time to gel. Gary showed his worth at Blackpool when we were getting run ragged and he changed things and won the game. And if we had been together as a team tho whole season then DS,s desire for 100 points would have been reached at a canter. The award for Gary is richly deserved and caps a great season for the club. Yet again the biggest little club in England delivers. Well done Gary and the boys.

Well Sean Dyche desrves the manager of the decade award for what he has done. Twice!! Both for the promotions and sticking by his style of football to do it twice.

True! Its fine having all that money/parachute payments blah blah, but credit given to GC in completely re-shaping the squad at the start of the season, getting them all to gel, then going onto win the league. Fully deserved IMO – especially when people were booking taxis for him not that long ago.
The parachute payments didn’t do us any good under Coyle, Rosler and Mackay in teh Championship, did it?
It’s what you do with the money that’s important, as well as protected the financial viability of the club for the future.
