To bounce back after defeat and win comfortable deserves credit where it’s due. A pretty decent all round performance and lots of hard work won that game. MOTM. Jacobs.
22 November 2017 at 11:12 am #163493Well done donny for starting a positive thread. I was going to post last night, but thought i’d wait & see if someone else was going to post first.
As usual, given a win, not many people post. However, i suspect had we have lost, the floodgates would open from our usual suspects.
Jacobs played well, but i was also impressed with colclough. Took his chance to start the game quite well.
22 November 2017 at 12:08 pm #163496Thought Power was excellent in Powell’s position closely followed by both full backs.
22 November 2017 at 2:52 pm #163507The only downside to the evening was that utterly shite Noel Gallagher song they played at halftime! Sounded like Abba, absolute garbage!
22 November 2017 at 3:02 pm #163509Power had a great game.
22 November 2017 at 3:14 pm #163512When we take a step back and see where we are in the league think most of us would have taken that before the season started.
22 November 2017 at 3:45 pm #163514The only downside to the evening was that utterly shite Noel Gallagher song they played at halftime! Sounded like Abba, absolute garbage!Nearly as bad as the referee

Nearly as bad as the referee[/quote]
Haha!! He was a shocker!
22 November 2017 at 4:41 pm #163516Power had a great game.He did! But i also want to praise evans as well. IMO he is the piece that we have been missing the past few weeks. Take nothing away from power, but evans is basically a better version of power.

I also want to praise paul cook in having the balls to make the much needed changes in the team.
22 November 2017 at 7:32 pm #163521Yip I will give Cook that too Runcorn. I believe we should be as liberal with the praise as we are as quick to criticize.
22 November 2017 at 8:11 pm #163522Evans is starting to look a great signing
22 November 2017 at 8:53 pm #163523Well done to the team and we’ll done Mr Cook for making changes and not letting rot set in after a bad result unlike some of our most recent managers. All being well with results in next month could set up boxing days game for a cracker.
22 November 2017 at 8:53 pm #163524And no doubt Donny if we’d dropped points tonight you’d be banging on about using only one striker and loan players (Evans). Be consistent ffs
22 November 2017 at 9:22 pm #163525Travis or Cold Play or whoever you are you may notice that I am probably the first to use this board to praise a result.
Is it wrong now to offer alternative arguments to subjects. That is the idea of a board for fans.
Using two strikers is my preferred way of watching football but if I can see us playing forward and at a decent tempo what the frig is wrong with giving the club I love some praise.
FFS criticised for offering a positive opinion isn’t even acceptable.
No wonder fans have left CL in numbers. -
