This is more like it. A fantastic win. Minimal tinkering, two strikers and players in position gives us two on the bounce. Third away win on the trot. Keep this up Latics. We cannot ask for much more than a side that will at least go down with a fight. Lets get it together at home too and we wont go down.

If it isn’t too old fashioned there will be a bright shining light of hope if we keep with the same side, same tactics and same formation. I would even say that if Uwe had done this from the start of the season he would still have been manager now and we wouldn’t even be in relegation trouble. But of course that is just my opinion.

That is a fantastic result, however we are not out the mire until we start winning home games.

It will be a great escape if we do avoid relegation and hopefully we can then sign some players, instead of having half a team of loanees.

Fingers crossed for 3 points Saturday and a push to catch the next target Rotherham United. :cheer:

We simply must get a win at home now, away we have been fairly steady really and have amassed a fair amount of points. One good result at home on Sat and we will be right back in this. Please lads don’t undo your hard work in the last 2 away games by failing against Leeds, C,mon boys.

Put your lucky sixpence under your pillow until Saturday, wear your lucky underpants on the day of the match and keep your fingers crossed until the final whistle

            We are staying up !

With the fixtures we have left, the chance to stay up is ours for the taking. Thankfully most of the crunch games are away, but we need to start picking points up at home.

Sadly though, I think after the first mis-laid pass on Saturday the chorus of booooo will ring out and we’ll be back to square one.

Don’t agree with that, Egg – I think Saturday we will get behind them as usual. I personally haven’t heard that many boos but maybe im a bit deaf .. but I reckon on Saturday, especially with 2 wins on the bounce, that the vast majority of us will be backing the lads 100% and encouraging every move, believing that we can go on and get out of this mess we have been in for the majority of the season … Up the ‘tics :-)

& that my friend is the problem. Sadly i wont be there on saturday c/o work but i really hope the crowd gets behind them from now to the end of the season. Hopefully 3 consecutive away wins will give ALL a boost.

We could always ask the League could we play ALL our games away from home.

yeah the pennies dropped with Malky. I’ve been saying it for God knows how long, get he backline sorted as were always good for a goal but we just couldn’t battle out a 1-0.

Now we look like a balanced side, McClean left, Pennant right, 2 targets to aim for and 2 centre half’s working as a partnership and Kim playing well in the middle I think there’s a few more wins in us before the season’s out.

Lets just hope that fat get isn’t running down the touchline at Rotherham week a Sat with his buttslit on full view…
