magnificent performance that was eh?
Would have said the same even if we’d lost 0-1. Of course the media will say Chelsea were not up for it, but we controlled that game from 35 min onwards and conceded well against the run of play. I was worried we’d come out lighter after half time but we started where we left off and full praise to the lads to keep going to the end.
Thought Jones had a blinder and was surprised to see him come off, but he must have been knackered and pleased that Bob saw fit to bring on both strikers…and it paid off.
Special mention for the chap everyone loves to hate – Jordi Gomez finally looks to be coming good.
Bring on Dalglish!
