Had to post somet about Bobby’s post match comments that are currently up on the sky website/text

“Normally we find the right decision or composure in the last third”

Bearing that in mind I have to ask myself who the hell he’s been watching for the last 30 odd games

An average of less than a goal a game all season (only Pompey have scored less), only scored more than 1 goal in a game 6 times all season & we’ve only scored in somet like 4 or 5 of our last 12 or so games

How the f00k does that equate to making the right decision or having the right composure in the final third

We have a manager so hopelessly out of his depth its almost embarrassing to watch him & the sooner he is gone the better – if I hear one more person say he needs to be given time I’ll go mad. He won’t be a success as manager at Latics as long as he has a hole in his @r$e

I think you are right that he isn’t cut out for the Latics job,but expect him to be here at the start of next season.
I can’t see a guy who kept us up on a shoestring budget being sacked….yet.

I am beginning to think you are right, but probably not for the same reasons as you.

Many of those players clearly cannot be @rsed playing for him. I think some of the senior players think they know better than him. They may be right, but that is not the point. They are paid to play as the manager wants – rightly or wrongly – and to play to the best of their best ability.

I am simply not having it that he tells players not to try, not to move and to play aimless and cr@p passes. I am damn sure he doesn’t tell N’zogbia to dribble as far as he can until someone tackles him rather than pass to a mate, for example. I am equally sure he doesn’t tell Scharner to stroll about doing nothing all night. I am convinced he doesn’t tell Scotland to wait until one of his colleagues finally bothers to make a run and then pass the ball into the space he has just vacated.

Rightly or wrongly, I think Martinez will be here next season whatever happens. The make-up of the squad next season will therefore be telling.

Coming back to your original comment about his post-match remarks, I beleive this: Martinez simply has an aversion to saying anything negative and therefore will clutch at/say anything to try to remain positive. It does have the propensity to make him look a little foolish.

A case in point was this quote from him from last night’s match report in the Mail: “It was a very tricky game. The amount of changes Portsmouth had to make didn’t help at all”. I really fail to see how the league’s bottom team playing half a dozen reserves and two kids could do anything but help.

Strap yourselves in, the last few weeks will be bumpy.

Loudmouth: where do I sign up? ;)
