Im finding it really difficult to understand Whelans thinking these days. In the past he has sacked a manager who brought us relative success in Ray Mathias and yet his stubborness to realise we have a massive problem with the Martinez/Jones/Barrow regime is baffling. He has stated his intentions to sell before much longer yet he seems to be steering us out of the Prem which surely makes this club a much less attractive proposition to prospective buyers. He understandably doesnt want to burden his family with the club and i applaud him for that so why the hell is he letting the 3 stooges undo all the brilliant work he achieved since taking over? He has always been outspoken yet he is strangely quiet about our current plight. Its gonna be a worrying time before the window shuts tho he has said nobody is going but we have heard it all before. Its as tho he has accepted we will go down i hope to hell im wrong. ?He has never backed Bob where he really needed it imho and must share the blame which again i find baffling.

lets be fair here steve i am no fan of whelan but he has funded martinez as much as jewel, hutchins or bruce, perhaps martinez has suffered from slightly reduced spending by whelan, but if it was you would you give martinez any money to spend – i would trust him about as much as i trust my kids in the pick ‘n’ mix aisle in asda
if you look at this i came across it shows how much martinez spent last summer (net) we are the 9th highest spenders in the premiership.
Lmb marrer when I say he aint backed him I dont mean financially. He has always put Bobby up on a pedestal claiming he is the best around and who knows if he had someone to look up to as his mentor maybe he could be a brilliant gaffer. Recently we have had Eric Black and Chris Hutchings who were superb no 2s and this is where I think Bob has fallen down. Ok he may have wanted Jones as his sidekick but he is simply not up to it and if Dave Whelan sees what we all see why is he not putting it right. Dont you think it strange that the man who performed possibly the greatest football miracle in getting Wigan Athletic into the Premier League now seems to be content at our current state?. Bobby needs help to make him see where he is going wrong Jones and Barrow are not the men for the job so this is where he needs backing.
never trusted whelan he has made his money out of the prem
and you whelan lovers can fook off
im right and you wont accept it

Whelan has just written off our 47million pound debt.
We now owe just 7m to the banks.
Find a shareholder and read the accounts.
Sure your’re right.
Prove it……….. ;)
My old man is a shareholder, got a letter this week saying that Whelan is writing off £52m debt.
How anyone can ever say Whelan has made money out of us baffles me. He built us a multi million pound stadium and gifted it to us recently. he has spent millions of us own money to get us in the premier league.
He is Mr Wigan Athletic! And although it does look likely he will leave soon, it will be a very sad day indeed for our club.
