A win; A crackin atmosphere of singing and fun; a good bike ride!!; seeing some goals; meeting some mates; new beers; chips (forbidden food at home). Memories.
What spoils it …. agro. I remember being at Preston when 1 of ourr ‘fans’ was laying into our ‘keeper with the foulest tirade of abuse, with all the gestures to go with it. Not far away was a 10 year old lass, with her Mum. who was scared shi*tless, and in serious tears.
Rochdale is a mix of good and bad, fantastic pies from memory but terrible lager, jw lees, the worst pint in history. Sat next to David lees wife there once.
Supporters clubs seem to be a thing in the past now, very few grounds have them but they made the day sometimes with having banter with their fans. clubs try their hardest to keep opposing fans away from each other now and so we have lost that element. even the pubs around grounds segregate, except Wigan.
